I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! ! !

I have thoughts. But please keep in mind that I don’t know much about Old Hollywood and can be totally completely wrong. This is simply my perception of this.

James Dean is obviously James (i do not know anything about that man except “James Dean look in your eyes” and his thing with jeans and leather jackets). But I think Audrey Hepburn would be Betty and Marilyn Monroe would be Augustine.

Now hear me out:

Both are OBVIOUSLY absolutely gorgeous.

At the time Audrey Hepburn was (and arguably still is) a representation if elegance and grace while Marilyn Monroe was (and arguably still is) regarded as a bimbo and a sex symbol. (Fuck those sexist stereotypes btw)

Betty is the one James wants. He’s the one he’d be in a relationship with while Augustine was just a summer thing, a temptress if you may.

James only ever deflect the blame. He didn’t take responsibility for what he did. It was either cause “he’s only 17” or cause “SHE said James get in” and so on.

I don’t know much about old hollywood so I might be completely off but from what I understand with my limited knowledge, Marilyn Monroe as the sex symbol and bimbo was not someone men would marry. She (or rather what she represented) was the beautiful, sexy women they would “fool around with” before settling down with the elegant and graceful girl who I assume Audrey Hepburn represented.

Therefore, I hereby conclude that I think Marilyn Monroe would be the perfect Augustine fancast while Audrey Hepburn would be perfect as Betty.

Rafael - Got married to Anjali. Consul of the Clave. Pissed off the Warlock Council after everything that happened with the Devlins. 

Selena - Moved out of the NY Institute. Traveling the world to find shadowhunters who were exiled to invite them back to the shadow world. Still dating Gabriel - who is a Centurion. 

Lexi - Moved to Idris with Liv (who is part of the Idris Guard now) and lives in Herondale Manor. Studies and protects the Veil of Idris (which keeps the shadow demons at bay)

Gigi - Currently lives in Idris (while Roman is in LA studying technology) and works closely with Camila Alvarez on using demon ichor to support mundanes. 

Max - Currently lives in New York Institute with David. Signed the walk-away clause and is no longer part of the Clave and therefore is not allowed in Idris. 

David - Currently lives at New York Institute and is the head of the institute. Rumored to be the prince of darkness and exiled from Idris after releasing shadow demons into Idris and causing the death of several shadowhunters including Kingsley Knightstorm. 

Alec and Magnus - Catching their breath after tackling all the Devlins and looking for a motherfucking break for once. They are both worried about the deteriorating relationships between warlocks and shadowhunters.

Is the government doing this because we’re being pressured from the international community (EU, IMF, etc) and we have “commitments” to fulfill so we can get funding because we’re broke? Yes.

Will the bill only be passed if we get majority votes in the parliament where most of the men (96% are men oof) are overly homophobic? Also yes.

But that will not stop me from celebrating because this is so big and so important and so so needed.

In awe and proud of all the work we’ve done to get this far and incredibly grateful for the contributions I’ve been able to make to these efforts 🌈
