Will imports from ampersand be an option? It’s the thing we’re using currently, and would love to be able to import straight from it.
We haven’t particularly looked into it, but if there is demand we can certainly try!!
You’ve probably already answered this, but will this be an actual app? If so, will it be accessible to IOS and android? I see so many plural apps that are only accessible to android, and obviously while IOS has a lot of attention being more expensive, and obviously I am grateful, we really need more apps for systems with IOS.
Yes, it will be an actual app! It will be accessible to both IOS and Android. As I myself am an IOS user I understand the struggle of finding good CDD apps on Apple, as so many apps prioritise Android.

Beginning stages of Asterism coding will be occurring next week!

One of the things that we plan for Asterism is giving it much more of a focus on the symptom tracking over just part logging.
People with CDDs already have struggles with amnesia and dissociation, and therefore using multiple applications for symptom logging is so much more difficult.
So, creating one app where you can manage your symptoms, emotions, parts, all in one is extra helpful for our main target audience.
This also means that Asterism is accessible to:
- cdd systems
- singlets who need to log symptoms
- questioning systems who might then figure out that they’re singlets and still require symptom tracking
- singlets with other dissociative disorders
- systems who need to hide their part logging and can excuse asterism as a symptom logging app,
- and anyone else who may find a symptom tracking app useful!!
Can you make the app heavily customizable like banners, abouts with images to move anywhere we like, etc? Maybe a feature to toggle customization off and on dor those who don't want it
We do plan a lot of customisation. We aim to have asterism be as customisable as possible! You should be able to have a consistent app to log your sensitive system information that can ALSO be cute and aesthetic. Disability aids should be fun!! That should be an option!! And we hope to supply this!
I know SP data has been a big question, but we've been using pluralspace, so would there be a way to upload data from there? I'm asking cause when we tried to upload our pluralspace data to florality a bit ago it didn't work, and we had to use our pluralkit data since we stopped using SP a while ago

After we facilitate octo / simply plural transfers, we are planning to create an open invite for other app developers to organise uploading / transferring data between apps, as well as individually contacting developers to discuss this! We will keep pluralspace in mind.
We plan to facilitate any .json file uploads from preexisting system apps.
Autonomy in where you (general you) store your system data is important to us. You should be able to store it wherever you want without having to relog everything every time.
For importing SP, will chats be able to be imported?
This is unlikely.
We are attempting to have at least front logs, part info and custom fields transferred, but chat imports are unlikely. We recommend finding a .JSON file reader to have a log of your chats, as well as screenshotting or noting important information.
If we find a way to change this, we will let you know!
For any Octocon or Simply Plural users who plan to move to Asterism:
If you request your .JSON export file from either of these platforms, you will be able to import this file into Asterism at a later date.
Please ensure you have a recent update of your .JSON file with the upcoming deactivation of Simply Plural, and that this file is in an accessible place. (For example, starred or pinned in an email.)
We unfortunately will not have exports sorted by Simply Plurals shutdown date, (July 1st, 2026), but we will be ensuring you can import your saved .JSON files!

Unfortunately probably not before then. Dev will start in mid-late june, and we will not be able to code an entire functional application in the span of about two weeks.
If you save your exported .JSON file, you will be able to import with that from a later date. Once we have the app up, we will try to contact devs from other apps to see about transferring over from there.
I will add that we are trying to get this coded at fast as possible, but development strictly cannot start for another month and a bit and the timing is very tight. The main priority is to give your import somewhere to go. so thats alter information, including custom fields, notes, and fronting logs.
We recommend finding a .json reader that works for you NOW, so that you can at least access your simply plural information from the file.

That is planned, yes. Particularly including custom fields
The social aspect advertised in some other system trackers has turned us off to them completely. Even just the friending people option scares some of us. I’m so glad this will have the option of disabling that. I’m really excited that this option seems more focused on individual effectiveness in tracking and security of users over socialization and the like :)
We are really attempting to make asterism accessible to a wide range of users !!
Theres always going to be difficulties when some users require social features and some users cannot use an app with social features at all !
So the most accessible solution is to make both possible!
We’re really glad to be able to offer an app that actually works for those who need it. Especially one thats cantered around CDDs, unlike a lot of apps.
The goal of asterism is to make an effective, reliable app to log cdd info, and if it does this then it fulfils its goal !!
If there are social features could you add chats? I hated that in SP you couldnt send a msg or anything to your friends! Like some of my friends arent allowed certain msg apps and we were never able to talk
On the same note could you make it so then you could leave a comment on to a specific alter out of sys and no one can see it until that alter fronts? I feel like that would be really cool/convenient

Innersystem chats are a planned feature, but we are unlikely to be adding chats across systems. This may be considered in much later development, but is very unlikely due to the large number of alternate chatting apps and the amount of coding needed for this.
If we were to add these we would be essentially coding an entirely new social app, when this is, at its core, an app for people with CDDs to log information about their disorder. If it suitably logs your CDD information, it fulfils its goal.
I would also like to point out. If your friends are not safe to download other chatting apps, then they are likely not safe to download asterism. We will be attempting to include a privacy screen and make the app discreet on your home screen. But if anyone searches for the asterism app, our information as a CDD app will be available.
Hopefully if you have access to a device with asterism, you will have some form of messaging feature too.
A feature to leave comments on alters for your own system is planned for later in development though!
Hi! Will this work on macOS and iPhones?
Website development is our priority, and we will be inclusive of both apple and android phones. Website will be accessible on any devices web browser, but we can look into making a computer app if theres demand for one!
you guys wont be banning/deleting users for looking like endos or having alters who claim the system is endogenic right? 'T^T asking bc 1. we've heard of ppl's accounts on other system apps getting deleted for anything "fakerish" even when theyre real systems, and 2. we have a guy who keeps trying to say we are endo (despite all the evidence of the contrary), and we dont wanna get banned over his ableist worldview if he fronts/changes our info again
We will not be banning any users from using asterism. We will not be looking into any users information. We cannot stop anybody from using this app.
Any app that looks into your private information, cdd system or not, is not a safe app. We will not be looking into any users’ inputted information to figure out if they’re a ‘real system’ or not. That would be a privacy and moral concern.
Cdd is owned by systems of various types. We aren’t going to judge you for how your system functions, regardless. For every ‘their sys looks like an endosys’ theres a cdd system who functions like that.
We dont allow discussion of non-cdd plurality in the support server. This is our only regulation around it. If you repeatedly mention it in the server, you may be banned from the server, but we cannot stop any usage of the app
We are a cdd focused app with an anti-endo stance, but cannot and will not prevent anyone from using our app.

will other people be able to see whos fronting? Simular to the friends function from simply plural. Because when people ask me whos fronting i end up super awkward and second guessing myselfðŸ˜
