gerard: i like theater, you know. i was just talking about it last night. i had an amazing experience seeing, you know, "the black rider" years ago. i like that kinda stuff.

the antagonist of the black rider is a devil named pegleg. in the first major touring production of the black rider in 2004, pegleg was played by a singer, songwriter, and actress who led a really remarkable life that i cannot sum up in this post. beyond her solo musical career, she also wrote and sang on songs for the beatles, the rolling stones, and metallica. she died in january 2025. her name was marianne faithfull. hello. can anybody hear me.
