for some reason couldn't reblog the post that criticized vegans for not engaging in so called "symbiotic" relationships with non human animals, and I'm going to guess they meant like wool and what not and I just want all non-vegans to ask themselves if the same dynamic existed between two human parties, would you not immediately understand that it is exploitive? And I mean exactly the same. A lot of leftists on here can see how corporations exploit laborers who work just 40 hours a week but can't see how non human animals that are bred, genetically engineered, kept in a place against their will, their bodies used--all for profit is a form exploitation.

ask yourself too, that if there is a profit motivation, is there any guarantee that these so-called 'ethical' manufacturers will not eek out as much profit as they can which is always at a detriment to the animal? much in the same way that profit motivation in every other facet of capitalism almost ALWAYS leads to exploitation if allowed? they do it in every other facet of life what makes you think they won't do it to a sheep? What makes you think that suddenly they will act different?

i think the worst thing about the whole “anti-woke” culture is how it’s not only dumbing down people (folks are literally forgetting pronouns are an actual word class, an inseperable part of grammar and everyday speech) but also praising meanness and insensibility above all. it has managed to make malice and unkindness synonymous with factfulness and reason as if intelligence didn’t stem from emotions. as if feelings weren’t the very core of human beings. as if knowledge wasn’t achieved through passion, sympathy, and open-mindedness. as if the whole crux of this entire anti-wokeness movement wasn’t rooted in pure unadulterated emotion of hatred and hostility.

It’s really no wonder that men cling desperately to the institutions that don’t allow women out from under their brutality. Separatism terrifies them for good reason. Look at single-sex male spaces in prisons, schools, and industries. When men/boys are alone together, they quickly create castes where they treat their lowers like they treat women in broader society - and the abuse knows no limits. It’s often sexual, often fatal, and it always revolves around degradation. Males recreate patriarchy, even when they’re alone together. They’re terrified of their own brutality and need to use women as a buffer.
