Chris Brennen wrote “Hellenistic Astrology: the Study of Fate and Fortune”, runs the Astrology Podcast, and I enjoy his timeline and recommendations always.
a list of [just a few] different types of astrology
Astrocartography – The astrology of place. It examines how people respond to the various energies available to them across the globe. Astrologers that practice this type of astrology help others find spots where they can better engage with specific themes in their lives by examining a special type of astrological map.
Chinese Astrology – A group of traditions that arose independent of those in the west with their own mythos, techniques, and philosophy that bloomed throughout the long history of Chinese cultures.
Cosmobiology – A school of astrology credited with popularization by German astrologer Reinhold Ebertin that is related to the Hamburg School of Astrology. There is a primary emphasis on mid-points and 8th Harmonic aspects, and the significant expansion of medical astrological principals.
Egyptian Astrology – A retrospective school of astrology that uses the rich Egyptian mythos to examine Zodiacal relationships. This should not be confused with the type of astrology practiced in ancient Egypt from roughly 2000BC-100BC that served as a foundational precursor to the Hellenistic tradition, since the concept of the Zodiac was developed elsewhere.
Electional Astrology – Also known as Inceptional Astrology, this branch of the tradition is focused on finding the best time to start new projects so that they meet with the greatest success and abundance.
Esoteric Astrology – The types of astrology that examine spiritual principals and seek to build corpus knowledge of esoteric ideologies by examining the mundane motion of the planets and stars as well as their hidden relationships.
Evolutionary Astrology – Astrology that focuses on the supposed evolutionary path of the soul. It is used to foster individual growth and spiritual expansion in accordance with many new age principals.
Financial Astrology – Astrology that examines financial markets and their timing according to transits in order to forecast market changes. This branch of astrology also examines natal potential for money making, as well as uses astrology as a tool for discourse about global economic trends.
Hellenistic Astrology – The type of astrology practiced in the Mediterranean from roughly 100BC to 600BC that reached its height during the Roman Empire. It is the first western system to incorporate the 4 fold system of astrology that became the foundation of all later practices.
Horary Astrology – Divinatory astrology that examines the moment in which a question is understood by an astrologer in order to find an answer for the querent.
Jyotish – Commonly conflated with Vedic Astrology, Jyotish is the main form of astrology practiced in the Indian subcontinent in the modern era. It represents a hybrid of indigenous Indian astrology with Hellenistic techniques. This type of astrology is sidereal, or constellation based.
Magi Astrology – A secretive form of astrology that examines relationships and their timing according to a different set of astrological standards.
Mayan Astrology – The tradition of astrology practiced in the Mayan culture that arose independently of western influence and ideology.
Medical Astrology – Astrology that examines the relationship of the human body with the alignment of the cosmos. Used to forecast and diagnose predispositions to certain health issues, as well as provide recommendations for greater over all health and wellness according to the natal potential.
Modern Astrology – The various forms of astrology that have been practiced since its revival in the late 1800’s. There has been a marked increase in the importance placed on the Sun sign, and a focus on the psychological potentials indicated by the natal chart.
Mundane Astrology – The astrology of large groups of people and their interactions. Transits are examined in order to explain and forecast global trends and events.
Natal Astrology – Astrology centered on the natal chart of individuals. In the modern era this is the most widely used form of astrology.
Psychological Astrology – The examination of the natal chart as a set of psychological predispositions. Based on this foundational premise the astrologer can help guide and counsel the native with traditional psychological techniques.
Rectification – An extraordinarily advanced astrological technique that examines the events of a native’s life and works backward in order to produce a time of birth for those that do not possess it. A time consuming and expensive process that is a necessary precursor for all advanced forms of astrological work.
Relocational Astrology – The supposition that natal capabilities are amenable to the influences of locality. Examines the shift of potential that a native faces when living in different areas.
Synastry – The astrology of relationships. Two charts are examined concurrently in order to reveal themes and potentials that may be present as the relationship progresses.
Traditional Astrology – The various forms and traditions of astrology that were practiced during the almost 3000 years of its history prior to astrology’s revival in the late 1800’s. There is a marked focus on mundane astrology and examining the lives of natives from a deterministic standpoint.
Transit Astrology – The examination of the current or future positions of the planets in relation to a natal chart order to see the themes that are currently active in a native’s life, as well as forecast future trends and events.
Uranian Astrology – Another branch that is related to the Hamburg School of Astrology that focuses on midpoints and uses theoretical planets as part of it’s arsenal of techniques. It is sometimes said to be the true successor of the Hamburg legacy.
Vedic Astrology – The indigenous forms of astrology of the Indian subcontinent that arose independent of those of the west. There is a distinct lunar focus (as there are with many of the oldest forms of astrology). This system was eventually merged with ancient Hellenistic techniques in order to form what is now known as Jyotish.
Vocational Astrology – A specialized form of astrology that examines the inherent potential within a natal chart in order to recommend potential career paths for a native and help them navigate their professional life.
Weather Forecasting Astrology – The type of astrology that is most popularly used in almanacs. More advanced techniques and philosophies in use by astrologers range from every day forecasting to major climate prediction.
which planets are in aspect to your sun?
CONJUNCTIONS
a planet is conjunct your sun when it is in the same sign as your sun. it results in a blending of energies. this energy can be positive or negative, depending on the planet involved.
your sun conjunct...
moon means you were born just before, during, or after a new moon. this placement makes you act on your own instincts and will either feel like you have done this before (if born just before a new moon when the moon is in an earlier degree than the sun) or like you are completely new at this (if the moon is at the exact same degree or a later one than the sun.) both placements have to rely on their intuitive responses to life.
mercury is common because mercury can only be a maximum of 28 degrees from the sun. this combination can create a clear and consistent channel between your sense of self and the style in which you communicate to the world.
venus is incredibly helpful for the sun. venus lends the sun a pleasing likability, charm, and ease working with erotic and creative energy. this is increased if the sun and venus are in taurus, libra, pisces, or leo.
mars can be difficult for the sun to integrate, much like saturn conjunct the sun. the positive attributes of mars are courage, vitality, drive, and energy. the difficult qualities of mars have more to do with anger, violence, and wounds, both psychological and physical. if you have mars conjunct the sun, one of the main obstacles to living your purpose is to accept that part of your purpose is to be controversial. if you can learn to channel your competitiveness toward what’s helpful, you will go a long way. this is a little more of a seamless placement for those with sun and mars in aries, scorpio, and capricorn.
jupiter is incredibly helpful for the sun. the enthusiasm of someone with jupiter conjunct the sun is almost impossible to quell. optimism, vitality, exuberance, and positivity infuse your personality, and you are philosophical, always looking at the big picture. these traits are more pronounced if the sun is in sagittarius, pisces, cancer, leo, or aries.
saturn means that your persona may lean toward pessimism. this planet’s penchant for doom and gloom can be the rain cloud that obscures the sun’s desire to shine brightly and boldly. however, it also lends you the ability to make frank and honest appraisals of a situation. it’s important for you to find meaningful work that you can dedicate yourself to. saturn tends to be unfairly harsh, and with this combination, you may have to learn to cut yourself some slack, otherwise nothing is ever good enough, including you. this combination usually means that you need to temper your judgements with compassion for yourself and others. this combination gets easier with age, as you find your way toward mastery and self-sufficiency. it’s also easier in capricorn, aquarius, and libra.
uranus can create a personality that is exciting, unpredictable, erratic, innovative, and eccentric. because uranus spends about seven years in a sign, everyone born with the sun in that sign will have this aspect. this is why I choose to consider it a dominant aspect of the personality and life only if the sun and uranus are within 10 degrees of each other and in the same sign.
neptune, when within 10 degrees of the sun, can create a loss of self, since neptune diffuses anything that it touches. incredibly porous, you may feel an overidentification with others (or others with you) and a need to work on personal boundaries. incredible sensitivity needs to be channeled into work or projects that help you connect with what feels larger than you. spirituality and addiction, recovery, healing, fantasy, art, and dreams can play a part in shaping your life’s purpose.
pluto, when within 10 degrees of the sun, creates an intense personality that wants to control. eventually, when this combination learns to transform what is difficult into what can be used for fuel, it is unstoppable. you may need to investigate many aspects of life that are related to the underworld. accumulating resources can become an obsession if you mistake inner power for outer wealth.

jupiter in the composite chart
1st house: planets in the first house are most easily seen by others. jupiter here expands your relationship in the sense that everyone always seems to see you two around, you’re “loud” (not necessarily in volume but in appearance) and may enjoy traveling together. sometimes you can seem too much for others or surprisingly focus too much on yourselves.
2nd house: possessions and money may be very much shared between the two of you, and are important to your relationship. you two might share more objects togethers/gifted for each other than the average couple. you might splurge more together, getting more luxurious and expensive items is enjoyable.
3rd house: you love talking to each other and learn a great deal from each other. you might challenge each other’s beliefs and love touching on more intellectual topics. conversation can help release stress and tension.
4th house: building a family is important for the two of you, and so is sharing a home. perhaps you moved/will move in together quicker than normal or find talking about your future and family is easy. this placement has a low chance of feeling like there might be abandonment.
5th house: you two love to have fun together and are very flirtatious (even if you’ve been dating for a long time). gambling might be fun and so are parties. you’re very light-hearted and carefree in your love and natural self-expression is easy to reach.
6th house: there is comfort in doing tasks together and helping each other do the little things. this placement makes relationships more thoughtful and caring. however, jupiter can be a lazy planet and might cause some serious procrastination in finishing the important things.
7th house: the romance is high in this relationship. your relationship feels larger than life and perhaps freer, so both of you will need space. you may feel very open and hopeful with this placement, and not worried about the strength of your relationship.
8th house: jupiter in the 8th house can sometimes bring issues of whether or someone is being dishonest to the other, secret financial moves, and being caught up in other intimate issues. but it can also allow you to find great comfort in the intimacy you have and can help you both view the relationship less idealistically.
9th house: philosopical topics help you expand your relationship- ethics, existence, perhaps religion or politics are conversations you two like to or seem to not be able to avoid dabbling in. you’re not afraid to be opinionated with each other.
10th house: this could be a good business partnership, and a strong presence on social media or in the workplace together. you two could be successful or in the public eye. there is an unwritten expectation to keep up a reputation as a couple.
11th house: together, you could help change the world. with this placement, being activists and participating more in social issues and volunteering seems fun and natural. you may share many mutual friends. it’s difficult to silence your voice together.
12th house: this is a good planet to have in a composite 12th house because it allows more direct conversations on anything that may be usually hidden from each other. the difficult conversations will be had. this could also cause more idealistic approaches to the relationship, or possibly unexplainable feelings of distrust or suspicion.
Do you believe sun signs differ depending on the month? like a march aries vs an april aries etc
sun signs as well as ascendant signs, in my opinion, are heavily influenced by their decan (although decans can be applied to any placement of a sign)! so not necessarily the month, but the degree of the sign. a third decan and first decan capricorn sun, for example, act quite different in the expression and the way they relate to their sun placement.
there are three decans for every sign, and each decan has a different “sub-ruler” to the sign. the sub-rulers are different for every sign. i’ve noticed there’s a little disagreement about decan degrees (some say 0-10, 11-20, 21-30.. 0-9, 10-20, 21-30, etc), but generally i’d say like 0-9 degrees is decan one, 10-19 degrees is decan two and 20-30 degrees is the third decan. give or take, but use your own judgment!
using your example, a “march aries” is very likely to be in the first decan. this decan of aries has no sub-ruler, they are controlled solely by mars’ influence. this is the same with every other sign as well, the first decan is always ruled by the sign’s actual ruling planet(s), which is often why those born within the first decan tend to seem “more” like said sign (they aren’t “more” of that sign, but they do tend to fit the stereotypes more and display the energy more intensely/openly imo). a third decan aries, aka one born near the end of april, has jupiter as a sub-ruler. this is why, compared to first decan or march aries, these aries seem a lot more open-minded, flexible, calm and friendly. it’s also why they tend to not be as assertive, dominant, go-getting, energetic, etc as “march aries”.
also i am very strongly anti the concept of “sign cusps”, but i do think it’s helpful to pay attention to which sign it’s closer to. my reasoning being is, there’s this theory that signs have learned from the signs before them, and aspire to learn from the sign after them. so for example, aries are aware of pisces passive aggressive, shy, and flaky traits. first decan aries is the strongest in rejecting these traits, imo. third decan aries on the other hand is very close to taurus. they’ve yet to learn some taurus traits such as stubbornness, assertion, etc. even though those traits are also common in aries, i feel like you don’t see them as often in the third decan.
anyway, that’s just my take! if you ever wanted me to post about different decans and how i interpret their influence, let me know :)
FOURTH HOUSE: childhood observations (by mode)
* i focused more on the rougher manifestations of these placements in this post! i will make a positive manifestations version of these placements soon. also note your whole chart will influence this, and especially the individual sign of your fourth house (and planets located in the fourth), i am just grouping by mode for ease. also this is entirely based off my own research, interpretations, experiences, etc.
✨ mutable (pisces, gemini, sagittarius, virgo) fourth houses often experience childhoods in which one or both parents (or guardians) were absent. it may not be physically, it’s also often having emotionally detached and/or distant parents/guardians. mutable fourth houses usually had childhoods in which they had to learn to care for themselves and be independent at young ages; which is why as adults they generally have no problem living on their own, caring for themselves, making their own home & adjusting to change wherever they go (especially true if they also have a mutable moon and/or venus). unfortunately they also often struggle with emotional processing and expression in adulthood due to the emotional or physical unavailability of their family. it often even manifests as an attraction to toxic partners/friends who provide nothing emotionally/only drain them.
they are also likely to experience childhoods that involved a lot of moving around (cities or countries, schools, etc), which is why many mutable fourth house individuals feel as if they don’t truly have a “home”, and feel comfortable moving around freely in adulthood, and don’t have an immense need to stay stagnant in one physical place for too long (this will apply more to sagittarius and pisces). however this can also manifest in a more stressful way, feeling as if they “lost’ their childhood, or have no home nor stable place to go to when they are overwhelmed and in need of comfort. they must spend a lot of time and effort learning where they can find comfort, and how to build their own safe spaces.
the child’s intelligence was likely placed on the forefront during childhood, especially if the individual has gemini/virgo in the fourth. college/university may have been especially pressured for sagittarius fourth house individuals. you may have had a childhood in which you were encouraged to share your thoughts, ideas, opinions, etc freely and were praised for such. but on the other hand, you may have been forced down a certain path (school-wise), and had far too much stress put on you throughout childhood regarding your grades and perceived intelligence.
mutable fourth houses tend to come from “odd” situations; and usually quite unstable home environments. i’ve personally noticed mutable fourth houses are the least likely to want to talk about their past, family, childhood; because they’re sometimes ashamed of the “strangeness” of their past and the uncontrollable things that occurred in their childhood, because of their parents/family/etc.
✨ cardinal (libra, cancer, capricorn, aries) fourth houses tend to have parents/families that were over-involved in their lives; often controlling. i find that they likely had parents that put ridiculous amounts of pressure and responsibility on them from a young age. these placements didn’t get much time to be an actual child, as it’s likely they weren’t shielded from the harshness and rough realities of the world/others like they should have been. due to this, cardinal fourth house individuals tend to know exactly what they want for themselves in the future; specifically in terms of their home life, and future relationships; they usually end up developing unmatchable work ethic and boundaries as adults. however, they have to learn to embrace, accept and express their inner child; otherwise they will drown themselves in stress.
capricorn and aries fourth houses specifically were likely to experience a lot of strictness/control, and an authoritarian, sometimes aggressive, nature in their homes. they may have felt a lot of tension in their home growing up, and as if their parents/guardians were pushing them too hard in everything they did; trying to piece together their lives for them and leaving them with no say. their may have even been a lot of fighting between family members in their homes, or passive aggression, if this placement manifests harshly. this is why they tend to grow up fiercely individual and with a refusal to let anyone ever tell them what to do. they can easily hold their own regardless of the situations they’re placed in as adults.
cancer and libra fourth houses i’ve noticed had perfectionism and high standards placed extremely hard on them from a young age, especially from mother figures. although i find them the most likely of all the fourth house signs to be “babied” throughout childhood, i’ve also noticed this babying being turned into too much focus on this child. to the point where the child has so many expectations, high standards, etc., to meet due to the unrealistic projections and pressures from their parents. cancer and libra fourth houses often experience their parents trying to force certain futures onto them, that they themselves weren’t able to achieve/fulfill. in certain manifestations, this fourth house placement actually makes it so the cancer/libra fourth house individual has to be the parent to their own parents/siblings/etc. they may be overly forgiving, nurturing, and giving to their family (this will be heightened if venus or neptune are in the fourth as well).
cardinal fourth houses likely had a very perfectionist home environment and childhood, as i mentioned, and may have even been heavily pressured about their appearance, and how they come off to the public and represent their family. “image” was of huge importance throughout their past, and may have led to them being insecure adults or adults who are far too hard on themselves. it’s possible their parents had a picture perfect home/seemingly very peaceful home to the public/outsiders, that was actually a disaster/toxic environment behind the scenes. negative cardinal home environments can also leave individuals scared to initiate things and act on their own/without a push, despite this initiation being in their nature; since they were so used to being pushed by family members in various directions.
✨ fixed (leo, scorpio, taurus, aquarius) fourth houses can have their childhoods/pasts summed up in one word: intense. in true fixed fashion, their home environments were likely very strong: whether that strong is a good or bad word, depends on the manifestation of the placement. fixed signs, much like cardinals, likely experienced very controlling and sometimes aggressive (more likely for scorpio/leo) environments in the home. regardless of the sign, the parents/guardians were likely very stubborn, pushy and may have not allowed the child to have their own independent thoughts, goals, desires, ideas, etc. due to this, fourth house in a fixed sign individuals usually grow up to have very unshakable goals and opinions, and are able to hold their own in very serious and tough situations (such as loss, heartbreak, confrontation, etc). these individuals also sometimes must provide financially for themselves (and even their family) at a young age, because their family is unable to do so for them. it’s common for these fourth houses to get jobs at younger ages than most people around them generally would. i’ve also found those with fixed fourth houses (esp taurus/scorpio) had family members who tried to control and manipulate them via money/material items/finances; OR who tried to manipulate money out of them.
scorpio and aquarius fourth house placements specifically go through a lot of change and transformation during their childhood. they tend to experience immensely unstable home environments; due to the influence of uranus and pluto. it’s likely something major and traumatic may have even happened during childhood, that essentially changed their life forever (of course depending on other placements and just, life in general). they may have been the types to move around a lot during childhood, or have a lot of sudden swings in their life. the swings may have been smaller things, such as their parents/guardians being very moody, changing jobs a lot, etc; or larger things, such as famliy members losing jobs/income, sudden death, divorce of parents, etc. scorpio and aquarius fourth house individuals tend to, like mutable placements, end up “raising themselves” and/or feeling very alone and detached as a child; and as an adult (they really have to work on “building their own family” via friendships/etc).
similar to libra and cancer mentioned above, leo and taurus fourth house placements are likely raised with intense ideals and expectations from their parents; and are driven to a constant state of achieving unattainable perfection. this can result in becoming adults with huge insecurities that are far too hard on themselves. their home life throughout childhood is usually quite abundant (this abundance isn’t always good, however), or they have parents/family members with very material/money-focused mindsets. they may have frequently experienced their parents putting their careers, image, belongings, etc., before their own child(ren), leaving them feeling quite abandoned or unloved. this is why these individuals often go on to seek validation/love from others in the future for their self-esteem, especially if they have strong leo personal placements. leo and taurus fourth houses likely had huge pressure from their family to make something significant out of themselves. not necessarily a pressure to just do well in school, but to do something huge; such as become famous/widely-known, obtain scholarships/the highest grades, get a super “distinguished” or high-paying job, etc.
ASPECTS TO THE NORTH NODE/SOUTH NODE
☊ Karmic Lessons | Old Habits ☋
Ever feel like you’re being gravitated to a certain destiny or purpose? Notice behaviours so deeply ingrained but can’t remember consciously developing them? Ever had recurring themes in your “deja vu” moments? Check your natal chart’s nodes! You might have planets aspecting them.
The North Node and South Node are two important opposing points in astrology (known as Ketu and Rahu respectively in Vedic Astrology). The North Node represents your soul’s legacy whereas the South Node represents its inheritance. The North Node points out the weaknesses you need to overcome and consequently the qualities you need to develop so you can guide yourself to ultimate enlightenment and fulfill your purpose. The South Node hints at the traits, skills and abilities you’ve already accumulated in your past life/lives - i.e. what your soul inherited. While the sign placement should not be dismissed, conjunctions and oppositions to this axis can greatly ‘colour’ or alter the lessons to be learned. With South Node conjunctions people become very attached/dependent on the qualities given by the conjunct planet. The NN/SN axis is thus considered very karmic - what you’ve previously learnt is directly proportional to the most important lessons you NEED to learn at this point. If you don’t believe in the concepts of past lives, it can also be argued that the South Node represents deeply embedded habits often formed very early in the childhood. If you’re interested in a more detailed post on childhood indicators in astrology go to @jupiteronic and track the blog so you’re alerted when I post it!
Sun conjunct NN/opposite SN: Your self-expression may be more easily accepted by others in your life, in fact most likely actively encouraged. Developing your leadership potential, creativity and achieving your soul’s purpose will be a path filled with luck and relative ease. Just learn to be more reliant on your self for this rather than societal mores of how you should express yourself.
Sun opposite NN/conjunct SN: You may find your plans and goals thwarted by circumstances or societal values. However gifted you are at capturing attention and being true to yourself, your self-expression may be met with karmic obstacles and oppositions. Don’t let this hold you back. Learn from it. Beware of a tendency to hog the spotlight.
Moon conjunct NN/opposite SN: Your inner values are in tune with prevailing social trends and ideals, supporting your popularity and generosity with people. These qualities make it so that you can easily take advantage of these social trends and even become a spokesperson/public supporter of them. Be careful not to get too swept up in fads and learn to develop autonomy.
Moon opposite NN/conjunct SN: There is a tendency to feel alienated by others’ lack of cooperation and support, and you may feel that you have bad timing. As a result you isolate yourself further as a defense mechanism and create a perpetual cycle where you feel lonely and negative all the time. You must learn to stop being so defensive and develop a backbone. Learn to be more malleable in adverse situations. Not everyone is out to get you or take advantage of your vulnerability.
Mercury conjunct NN/opposite SN: You are likely popular, expressive and a good communicator. For this reason you can be very useful in making ideas become accepted and agreed on by the masses with your manner of communicating. However, your line of thinking is often in line with the status quo/ isn’t too controversial and in fact usually accepted, so be careful of getting swept up in popular ways of thinking that discourage progress. While endearingly inquisitive, you must learn to develop a more independent mind free of the input of others and social norms.
Mercury opposite NN/conjunct SN: Circumstances in your life have caused you to feel frustration because you think your ideas are unsupported. Oftentimes your ideas are met with criticisms or opposition that you fear inhibit your intellectual capabilities. Don’t allow this to hold you back. Your ideas may be too behind or, more often, too ahead of the times to be fully accepted. Realise that you are not alone in your way of thinking. Go out, expand your horizons, seek like-minded people. Be open to criticism instead of shutting down out of frustration at feeling misunderstood.
Venus conjunct NN/opposite SN: Likeable and diplomatic, you are likely to have success in relationships or business partnerships. You are likely socially prominent and will benefit greatly from friends/partners. You may form relationships with those who have power, resources or who can further elevate your social status. Be aware of an ability to be deceptively charming for your own gain.
Venus opposite NN/conjunct SN: You may have difficulties or obstacles when it comes to expressing affection due to major circumstances in your past life/early childhood, but you care deeply and have a great love for your family/friends/partners and the world. You have a sincere appreciation for beauty and the arts and likely have some form of artistic talent. Your way of expressing yourself socially and how you display affection, however, may invite conflict and tension from others. Your soul’s lesson is to learn to balance your love for peace with some initiative. Don’t become lazy and complicit.
Mars conjunct NN/opposite SN:The way you take action is often in line with/agreeable with those around you and your timing is in step, as such they help you fulfill your soul’s legacy of acting on your passions, desires and beliefs. Be careful not to let the way you do things be too influenced by social mores as there is a tendency to let others decide which beliefs are “meant” to be acted upon instead of instinctively acting on your own.
Mars opposite NN/conjunct SN: There is a tendency to find yourself on the disagreeing side of things with this placement. You may find that you arouse a lot of opposition in others because of this, feeling alienated in your values as a result. You might find yourself almost pre-disposed to acting on your own/making your own decisions in group settings, upsetting the group dynamic with the way you do things. You must learn to be less defensive - not everyone is out to get you or fight you, and you must stop using this as an excuse to be aggressively self-involved and inconsiderate of others’ values. To fulfill your soul’s purpose, channel your tendency to be defensive of your beliefs/self into more constructive channels.
Jupiter conjunct NN/opposite SN: Attempts at expansion of the self or mind will be encouraged and accepted. This is a placement associated with karmic luck. Your generosity and optimism will aid you well and bring you good fortune. There is a tendency to take things for granted here. You may attain popularity very easily or achieve success so fast that you fail to properly value it. Another key issue this placement has to watch out for is the tendency to overdo things. Don’t overindulge, don’t be overly generous. Learn moderation.
Jupiter opposite NN/conjunct SN: Major life circumstances may have forced you to put much significance on social/educational/religious expansion and rely too much on optimism. You must learn to pace yourself and develop a more grounded, realistic outlook or your larger-than-life ambitions will be shot down by societal times as they often conflict with the times. Your ambitions and ideals are noble and grand, but beware of a tendency to lose yourself in the big picture.
Saturn conjunct NN/opposite SN: Your levelheaded wisdom and competent resourcefulness will allow you to achieve your goals without much opposition. You have a good sense of timing which will help you gain respect from authority and go places. Be careful not to conform too much to unnecessary or illogical societal values out of a desire to stay on top.
Saturn opposite NN/conjunct SN: Major circumstances in your past life/early childhood may have caused you to develop a restricted, cynical worldview. Your judgemental, overly traditional, sour outlook will inspire much opposition in others.
Uranus conjunct NN/opposite SN: You’re highly in tune with social changes and are likely to benefit from them. Be careful not to get too caught up in how you’re benefitting from them that you lose sight of your personal values.
Uranus opposite NN/conjunct SN: Major circumstances may have caused you to be an advocate of change and revolutionary inclinations. Your ideas are often too ahead of the times. However, these ideas are often not met well by the people in your life and you often feel that any progress you make is set back by societal values or things out of your control. Beware of a tendency to be fanatic/erratic in your persuasion, it will hinder you and hold you back. Focus on developing a more tolerant worldview and perhaps you’ll get the change you’re so hell-bent on contributing to. You don’t have to be the extremist rebel just because you think no one else wants to play that part. Bursts of energy and bolts of revolutionary ideas that come out of seemingly nowhere are common with this placement.
Neptune conjunct NN/opposite SN: You have larger-than-life goals that are often noble and spiritual. Beware of a tendency to get swept up in social fads and go with the flow in unhealthy contexts. You must learn autonomy and lucidity while seeking the spiritual evolvement you crave.
Neptune opposite NN/conjunct SN: There is a tendency to have unrealistic ideals or beliefs that arouse opposition from society or others. Major circumstances in the past life/early childhood may have caused you to rely on escapism or spirituality in adverse situations - be careful not to get too swept up in your dreams and fantasies as they are unproductive and will cause you strife.
Pluto conjunct NN/opposite SN: You are intuitive enough to understand how social trends are formed and how you can contribute to their transformation. You’ll learn resourcefulness as a result of this intuition, but be careful not to let these endless manipulations of social values drastically change you or trap you.
Pluto opposite NN/conjunct SN: Major circumstances in your past life/early childhood may have caused you to become resourceful, self-reliant and distrustful of authority. You likely question prevailing societal values and remain unaffected by trends. This may ignite much opposition in others and resentment within you. Your desire for transformations, deep thinking and intensity clashes with current social mores. Stop letting opposition to your ideas isolate you.
*While not as potent as conjunctions and oppositions, sextiles and trines can still be considered. The soul’s purpose is more easily reached with these aspects, infused with the qualities of the aspecting planet. With a square aspect, the planet’s values is in constant conflict with the soul’s purpose/need for spiritual evolvement.

Aries are drawn to adventure which can sometimes border on dangerous. They are known for getting themselves into troublesome situations as they see the fun side of their ideas but don’t always think about the consequences.
Taurus is the most emotionally balanced sign of the zodiac. However, when their emotions have knocked off balance, they have terrible reactions, such as temper tantrums comparable to a toddler.
Gemini posses the silver tongue of the zodiac. They are gifted with the ability to talk themselves into and out of any situation.
Cancer knows how to anticipate the needs and desires of the people they love. This signs will bend over backwards to make others happy, often to the detriment to themselves.
Leo believes in the idea of true love and soul mates. They believe that love should be magical and their needs to some kind of grand story of how Leo met their partner. They hate the idea of their relationship being boring.
Virgo have a hard time accepting complements from others. They will act modestly and shrug off way you say as if it is no big deal. This stems from Virgo having a hard time ever accepting what they have done is good enough.
Libra’s attempts to create balance and harmony can sometimes turn situations into chaos. By running around trying to create balance for everyone, Libra in turn makes everyone compromise their point of view to the extent where no one is happy.
Scorpio is only concerned with deep and meaningful friendships. They maintain their friendships for long periods of time and most only have a few close friends.
Sagittarius knows the value of humor in depressing situations. These are the people you call when you need a laugh, not a shoulder to cry on.
Capricorn is unable to function in a world created by imagination and illusion. They need to live in a world consisting of concert facts. While Capricorns world might seem harsh to others, to them it is actually comforting, as they know they live in a world of reality.
Aquarius is the sign who is the most ahead of their time. They often posses genus potential that is hard for others to see, as most aren’t able to understand what Aquarius ideas yet.
Pisces is always willing to help others yet it can be exhausting for them. This sign pick up on and then feels the emotions of the people they are around. So when Pisces is around someone who is going through an emotionally difficult time, Pisces will feel those emotions too.
emotional self-sabotage of the moon signs
aries moons are just as scared of expressing their more gentle emotions that make them vulnerable as aquarius/capricorn/scorpio but they feel anger is an emotion that makes you empowered, not vulnerable, so they often channel every single feeling they have into aggression, rage that can often appear infantile, and thick-skinned hostility. they’re the definition of “looks angry, is actually sad and hurt”. there’s a lot of difficulty in admitting their vulnerability even to themselves.
taurus moon understand people really well but pretend they often end up pretending they don’t understand because they are very protective of themselves and they consider every point of view that’s different from their own to be a threat to their stable and comfortable way of life. that’s why they shut off their natural inclination to be understanding of others and choose, sometimes without even realizing it fully, a lifestyle for themselves that rarely changes, therefore has little room for improvement.
gemini moons create all by themselves so much noise in their heads and hearts just so they can run away from things like commitment, emotions, making choices and knowing what they want. they seek stimulation from various sources all the time so they can be able to switch their focus from their emotional world to…idk, something supposedly more interesting but actually just less scary for them. they use their incessant inner monologue to talk over the voice of their real feelings.
cancer is a peculiar archetype - it’s associated with both the mother and the baby. this shows in cancer moons as an inner indecision which role to take - the nurturer or the nurtured. in the first case, they might feel as if they don’t receive enough love. in the second, they might feel as if they don’t give enough love. that’s why it’s important to remember you can be both and that maturity is often connected to learning how to implement and appreciate ambiguity. other people might make it hard for you too, expecting you to be either baby or a mom person for their peace of mind they find through simplicity, and you may internalize those expectations.
leo as an archetype needs outside validation. or, best case scenario, they don’t need it, they just feel really good when they get it. leo suns often have a natural inclination for attracting attention but leo moons have trouble doing that. they really need praise and appreciation to be happy with anything they do but also they don’t know how to ask for it and feel that if they somehow called forward the appraisal, it’s actually not genuine and given to them out of pity or smth. so they’re often stuck in situations where they can’t really say what they want and count on other ppl to guess it.
virgo moons… actually i have absolutely no fkn idea. like that’s the thing with you guys, you’re so damn secretive. i mean everyone knows capricorn and scorpio are hiding stuff so they’re obvsly not so good at doing it, but you? you really just don’t believe people can understand most of your inner world and you have disillusioned yourself to the point of just believing no one will ever be good enough to comprehend you, that’s why it’s best to pretend there’s nothing to understand in order to make annoying ppl stop trying and let you be.
libra moons are some of the most adapting ppl but this leaves them with a suppressed anger that others dont adapt enough and always demand more flexibility from them. they might end up feeling chronically dissatisfied in their relationships because of this. they’re often switching between extremeties like “it’s all my fault, i am probably really selfish and horrible cuz i did this one thing for myself four years ago” and “you never did enough, i am always so considerate and thoughtful and you’re not at all”. it’s hard to reach balance in that state of mind and that’s what libra is all about after all.
scorpio moons really just need peace but keep starting drama. the intensity of their emotions just really doesn’t leave them much choice, there’s just a natural inclination to control and hide the power of their feelings, but when you do that systematically there is a specific kind of pressure building up inside that demands to be let out in some way. so scorpio moons, unwilling to show how DEEPLY they’re feeling but at the same time needing an outlet of the tension inside, stir up dramatic and extreme situations that they don’t really need to be in. and this disrupts the peace they need in order to express their emotions properly and build some trust.
sagittarius moon is very similar to gemini, after all they’re opposite signs. the difference here is that while gemini moon uses the internal monologue to avoid things, sag uses other people for the same purpose. when they don’t wanna face something, they just get lost in other people’s internal monologues, odd as it is. or in philosophy, or some sort of art or science, something to study in depth. I’ve noticed it’s quite common for sagittarius moons to have people around them that try to make them pay attention to the parts of themselves they’re avoiding. and they just love to argue with said people in order to prove how they’re not avoiding anything at all and they’re just ruining everything.
capricorn moon culture is caring so much about some things that you totally suppress your care and come out as completely uncaring and freezingly cold so you have to pretend to care about shit you don’t care about in order to appear at least a tad bit caring - as you really are. like you gotta fake who you really are cuz you can’t show it truthfully cuz it’s too much if you know what i mean. so you end up expressing real traits of your character but in a fake way and this confuses you emotionally even further.
aquarius moons are the most fragile ones imo. they’ve usually had a detached mother figure that didn’t provide them the attention they needed and didn’t really trust their feelings. that’s why it’s difficult for them to trust someone with their vulnerabilities. yet they really crave the type of intimacy that comes by sharing the sensitive parts of you - and let me tell you aquarius moons are really sensitive. so their reaction when they’re in a rut and realize they wish they could share why they’re upset to someone is to detach. to just run away somewhere, close themselves in their cage and deal with this on their own. they want someone to show them they care but every attempt of doing so may feel like an intrusion to the safety of detachment.
pisces moons are basically a bundle of self-sabotaging mechanisms. honestly it may really take a while with this moon to figure out which mechanism started where and how it intertwines with another and cancels a third one and so on. they’re both detached from their feelings - yes they are - and very emotional, both deeply emotionally intelligent and kind of dumb with feelings. they know what they feel but they don’t if it’s them feeling it or someone else. it’s basically a mess of contradictions and they must implement some strict routine of introspection, meditation or some form of creating art in order to receive the clarity they so desperately need.
/this was originally just a rant exposing my capricorn moon ass but i started thinking about similar mechanisms working with the rest of the moon signs and this happened lmao/

your moon sign is NOT the “real you”
the sun sign DOES matter
all the planets hold EQUAL weight in the chart: but you will feel the influence of some more than others depending on house placements, stellium(s), aspects, etc.
outer planets are important
planets should never be interpreted as just their sign (unless of course you do not have access to birth time/full chart! you can still learn a lot from only the sign/aspects), their house placement determines where their energy is released and the aspects to said planet will shape the expression, direction and release of it’s energy
sign cusps do not exist. they are not the same as house cusps. you cannot be two sun signs at once, two venus signs, etc. read into decans & anaretic + critical degrees, look at the house placement of your planets, learn about houses in general, check planetary aspects, etc.
squares & oppositions are not as bad as people say!
saturn & pluto are not only negative; jupiter is not only positive
🤍 your moon sign is your emotional state & reactions; inner emotional needs and desires. a lot of people, because they view emotions as everything/the most important, think the moon sign is “the real you”. or they think this because they haven’t researched enough into why they can’t relate to their sun sign. your moon sign is simply your emotional base. that’s it. not the real you; it’s the emotional you; the inner needs you have. your planets will always come together and interact with one another; your chart as a whole is the “real you”, if anything.
🤍 on top of that, the idea that someone with moon in a sign is “more (x) sign” than someone with that sun sign is ridiculous. the sun sign person has the entire identity, ego and base personality of that sign. the moon sign person has the emotions. neither is more of that sign than the other, unless they have multiple placements in that sign. even then, if those planets in said sign are in a “repressed”/hidden house, or have aspects that heavily alter them, that changes everything.
[ another expansion: astrology isn’t a competition. it’s a weird thing for people to try to one-up these days. via “more difficult” placements or being “more (x) sign”. it’s strange. some placements are harder to deal with in theory, sure. but it’s all about how you develop and handle them. no one has an easy chart, no one. all good aspects and placements have negatives; and vice versa. even the most loved planets (ie: jupiter) can bring pain. even the most feared planets (ie: saturn) can bring peace. it depends completely on development, growth, etc. use astrology as a tool for growth, comfort and healing. use it to learn and discover more about yourself and others! but don’t make it into a warped competition 😩 ]
🤍 the sun has become misunderstood through the astro community trying to get people to pay attention to more than just the sun (which is important). but in doing so, it has downplayed the role and importance of the sun. the sun is quite literally your core. it is your identity, your ego! a lot of people grow into their sun placement, and relate to it more as they get older. the sun is very important, it can dictate where you’ll find fulfillment (along with north node) and self-expression. it’s your core!!!!
🤍 outer planets matter! i used to be so guilty for this as well, saying things like “but the personals are most important”. it’s not true. the outer planets are not less important, they just tend to be related to more through their house placements and aspects, rather than the sign alone. pluto can show us where we crave power- or get pushed around by it; it can show where we frequently transform, etc. neptune can show where we give unconditional love, where we are deceived, where our creativity thrives, etc. saturn shows where we need stability, where our fears lie, what we need to learn, etc. jupiter can show where we go too far, where we have luck/our optimistic area of life, where we crave more learning and discovery, where we are too trusting/careless, etc. uranus can show where we need individualism, where our creativity thrives, where we experience sudden and unexpected change in life, etc.
🤍 squares and oppositions are not inherent doom. whether it be in synastry or within your own chart. yes, both bring about challenges; but they are meant to be a learning experience. once learning the lesson from squares and oppositions and mastering them, they often (imo) become more powerful than a trine or sextile aspect. oppositions teach you balance between the planets in which they occur. a common opposition i see people struggling with is moon opposite mercury (and i feel your pain, me too), but this opposition is meant to teach you how to balance your emotions with your logic. the same goes with moon squaring mercury, your meant to learn to unite the differences between your emotions and your logic; find an equal ground. this is a blessing in disguise! it’s going to give you far different perspectives and insights into your emotions as well as the things you study, interactions with others, etc., than a trine or sextile would (those usually just give people one singular view on such things). squares/oppositions in relationships allow you to learn from one another and teach each other new perspectives. also, squares & oppositions are of the same mode (fixed, cardinal, mutable), so they hold a lot in common regardless.
🤍 saturn and pluto are not entirely bad and being ruled by these planets or having them strongly in your chart is not solely a curse. saturn brings drive, ambition, strength, stability, security, determination, and the list goes on. it can ground other planets and help you garner the push needed to follow through in various areas of life. saturn gives the harsh lessons that end up allowing you to grow the most. pluto brings creativity, independence, intuition, power, drive, strength, etc. pluto tends to bring about destruction, but only when it’s needed so a lesson can be learned and things can be rebuilt in a stronger, more safe and rewarding way. “rebirth” is a word often forgotten when discussing pluto; the destruction doesn’t come for no reason. the same goes for jupiter; it’s often associated with only optimism and luck; which is why i think people can struggle to relate to their jupiter placement! jupiter also shows where we need to expand, learn more. it shows where we need to reflect and discover more, and also where we need to reach a balance between independence and closeness with others. jupiter can also, similar to neptune, show where we may be deceived or manipulated, because we look too optimistically towards that area of life; or are too careless because we’ve experienced heavy luck in that area of luck before. it can point where we go to excess: there is definitely such a thing as “too much of a good thing”.

Synastry House Overlay- Mars in the houses
First house-
There is a highly energized, sexual included, here with Mars first house synastry. The Mars person can invigorate the house person getting them all energized. Mars here will probably be the aggressor when it comes to sex and that makes the house partner confident and feeling sexy. The house person will see the Mars partner as a bit aggressive, someone who will not be pushed around and they can find that attractive of the Mars person. With Mars here, the Mars person helps push the house partner to be better and healthier for themselves, they also help the house learn how to stand up for themselves.
Second house-
To have someone’s Mars in your second house in synastry can bring in a sense of self-value to the house partner as the second house is the house of value and that includes self-worth with material things, Mars cannot help but be so complementary of them. There is a mutual respect for one another’s talents but the house person can see the Mars partner as a bit aggressive when it comes to money. The Mars person is able to come up with plenty of money making ideas, and with house there is a chance the two can make profits together. House person admires all of the Mars partner’s drive, ambition, and self-confidence, even if money seems like it’s always on the mind of Mars, the house partner won’t mind and will still be generous towards them.
Third house-
Non stop blabbering is what can be expected when third house Mars synastry happens. The Mars person especially becomes a complete chatterbox when around the house person, while they are inspired by the Mars partner to speak more of what is on their mind without holding back. The conversations between these two are stimulating and constant playful debates, but there needs to be cation as there could be a lot of heated up arguments to come along as well. The house person may view the Mars partner as someone who lacks finesse and can be impulsive with speech. The Mars person however could view the house partner as someone who talks a lot but never puts anything to action.
Fourth house-
In fourth house synastry, when Mars lands in this house there could be constant talks about home or family affairs. There could be discovery in that the two of them were raised in similar ways or one of them can remind the other of a family member in some way. With Mars here, the Mars person will talk and pry themselves way too deep into the house partner’s entire past and childhood, wanting to just really know the house partner. The Mars person can also show house how to stand up for themselves to family thinking that the house partner is a bit lazy and emotionally tied to family members. The house person may not like the insensitivity and aggression about family issues that the Mars partner has. If this is a romantic situation, there could be a strong desire to have a home together and if well aspected, home projects/improvements could occur.
Fifth house-
If this synastry is a romantic one then having someone’s Mars in another’s fifth house is a very romantic, passionate, and playful one. Here the Mars person can arouse the house partner’s sense of fun and play, there is a comfort for them to be able to have fun and express themselves easily as they inspire creativity in each other. There is a strong romantic sexual attraction here, the house person can see the Mars person as someone who is sexually demanding and impulsive. The Mars person can’t help but be impulsive, they just enjoy being around the house partner and may always be the one to advance at house when it comes to pleasure. There is just this sense of urgency for the Mars person to have fun and be romantic in some way.
Sixth house-
Now unlike fifth house, having another person’s Mars in another’s sixth house is not the most romantic but it is very helpful and can be great for a romantic relationship. There is a need to help each other out in some way for one another, Mars may take concern over the house partner’s health and well being showing them how to do things in a healthier way. The house person can give Mars insight on how to be more productive in every day life or work place. And like every other Mars placement, the Mars partner here will make the house person feel energized and want to be active and work together. If this is a business relationship there will be guarantee that these two will be very productive together.
Seventh house-
Here in the seventh house of marriage and partnerships, the Mars person can stimulate the house partner’s desire for relationships and commitments, but this is not the house of romance so the house partner may not act in such ways. There is a high competitive energy between the two with and the Mars partner being a bit aggressive trying to partner up with the house person. The house person is very attracted to the Mars partner, that is because the Mars person represents the qualities the house person seeks in a partner. The Mars person may find the house looks highly attractive and they could also teach the house partner how to stand up for themselves with relationships. If this is romantic the chances of getting married is high, even if this is not a romantic relationship this would be a great synastry for a business partner.
Eighth house-
Just like the first house Mars synastry, eighth house can have a highly sexual energy to come with when someone’s Mars lands in another’s eighth house. A sharing of deep secrets that no one knows and sexual desires that others may see as taboo are discussed and possibly even tried out as the Mars person can arouse the house partner’s desire for physical closeness, intimacy and sex. The house person will see the Mars person as mysterious and they are able to get them to open up and discuss said taboo things, Mars though can pry themselves into the psyche of the house partner and they may go too far and and make house uncomfortable or they could use money as a way to keep the house person attached to them. There is a chance that one or both people here can go through some type of transformation. Could be good for a relationship synastry, but if divorce is to happen the same energy that fueled the intense sex will fuel the anger behind the split.
Ninth house-
Here in ninth house synastry, when someone’s Mars lands in one’s ninth house the house person is sparked into a desire to travel and explore and learn about other cultures and higher knowledge to expand. The house person will admire the knowledge that the Mars partner has but can feel like that Mars lacks spiritual insights and can grow tired of their “Holier than tho” attitude. The Mars person challenges the house partner’s religious and philosophical beliefs because they feel like house’s views are impractical even if both their philosophies are similar. There is an encouragement from one or both to travel or become advocates for some religious, cultural, or even educational cause. Can be good for relationships that involve traveling, but there could be a lot of heated discussions about beliefs.
Tenth house-
When a couple comes into tenth house Mars synastry, there is a strong desire to be public here as this is the house of public relations and status. Both partners here have similar career goals and if they are working together in politics or other public careers, they could elevate their social status with their partner around. The Mars person helps the house partner reach their career goals and offers plenty of assistance to get to them, they enjoy talking up the house partner acting as a PR person for them or a promoter. The house persons appreciates and admires Mars’ talent to talk people up and gets a new sense of confidence and drive for their career, they could even look up to the Mars partner as a role model.
Eleventh house-
There could be a lot of group activities or get togethers with eleventh house Mars synastry, there could be even a set of friends the two people here share. The house person accepts Mars as they are and can be like a muse for the Mars partner giving them plenty of creative ideas and put them into action acting as a group leader for whatever activity the house person came up with. The Mars person can sometimes always be the one to dominate and be alpha to whatever Mars and the house partner are doing. The house person is pushed by the Mars partner to be more aggressive and social as the Mars sees house as someone whose is eccentric and intellectually otherworldly. This can be great for a relationship synastry for a brings a great closeness to any relationship.
Twelfth house-
Anything in the twelfth house can be tricky when it comes to synastry as the twelfth house is the house of soulmates and enemies, with Mars here the house partner’s walls manage to come down and helps house open up and tell secrets to the Mars partner that they never told others before. The house partner is able to give Mars some kind of healing that is on a deep level and help the house partner over come their self sabotage habits and fears. The Mars person can go deep into the mind of the house partner and could trigger old trauma and fears and they could play a little on the negatives of those fears without realizing it. If this is a romantic relationship, there could be some past life karma that needs healing. There could even be a chance that this is a secret affair.

Mars in the 2nd House - Demons are a Girl’s Best Friend
“I never hated a man enough to give him his diamonds back.” - Zsa Zsa Gabor
Mars in the 2nd is passionate about values and desires. The individual plunges blind into the internal and material pleasures that satiate her powerful urges. Sensual appetite fuses with tremendous willpower when this reckless Mars spirit is directed into earthy 2nd house focus. The individual is energised in the presence of her physical sanctuary surrounded by belongings and luxurious contacts. Canal desires are expressed through a high compulsion to establish a sense of security, connect intimately with others to sublimate the erotic appetite, and directing ferocious energies into growing her personal assets so internal demands can manifest in reality. Ownership is important to the individual and generates a sense of personal power. The ruby eye with Mars in the 2nd sparkles to reflect beauty in every particle. The human body is a valley she can explore with fascination, the mineral kingdom is an elixir that she aches to immerse herself in, and the sense of touch is a tantalising trance.
Developing a sense of beauty and self value is the conflict characterising Mars 2nd. The inner world can feel like a bloody combat field, ravished with unsatisfied impulse, material command, fears of loss and abandonment, and self worth complexes. Her innate reflex is rage and aggression when circumstances arise that she fails to get what she wants, or she is left insecure and depleted. Maybe she is reckless with money or feels that financial gains elevate her beyond man. And because Mars can be unstable, she may oscillate between each. The individual knows how to exhaust her talents and prioritise energy distribution so the most productive outcome can be developed. In astrology, Mars can be reckless and wild. Maybe the individual cannot control her urges and doesn’t know when to stop. She could streak through so much money, and crave so much material that it only widens her internal caverns, salivating at every touch and golden handshake. But she can also fly through the heavens under the launch of Mars fire. The ultimate enraptured state is attained through the cultivation of a magnificent inner world, dripping with the kind of quality cradle and opulent shelter her creative indulgence envisions. Bob Marley was born with Mars in the 2nd house. One of his better known phrases, “Man is a universe within himself,” relates to the richness of his inner experience.
Finance and business prowess can be natural features with Mars in the 2nd. There is a good eye for scoping opportunities that involve acquiring wealth and trailblazing toward far ranging dreams. The individual can experience a fast burn out and become uninspired and lethargic when desires are slow to manifest. Resources and money symbolise a form of energy which propel the individual through life. A healthy bank balance will have her bouncing, and exhaustion threatens when she begins coin counting. She will also see resources as a great tool of empowerment and amenity to lift people out of despair and destitute. Bono was born with Mars in the 2nd house and used his profound influence to drive Live Aid and promote the more equitable distribution of resources to our most disadvantaged people. This sort of expression blends the financial and prosperity aspect of the 2nd house with the fierce defender of Mars in action. It is important for the individual to retain independence over her finances and be left to work alone in solitude. When mindful, she can direct her powerful energies with refined calculation, but during times of instability she can lapse into frenetic and pedantic compulsions, work behaviours, and spending patterns. The ruby red sparkle that surrounds Mars in the 2nd exists in the dwellings of the inner world, waiting for her indulgence so it can be polished and she will shine like crystal frosts of scarlet fire.
