you know what’s fun? you’re new superintendent telling (in email) that teachers don’t want more money they want better working conditions. interesting that it can’t be both. also reminder we are in a teacher shortage

This is just to say this year may break me as a teacher. It’s my 12th year and with covid and pretending covid isn’t really a thing i’m over it.

we had 60 kids out friday and sent 30 more home. we seemingly have an active outbreak in K. we don’t have subs and my principal is doing the whole toxic positivity that it feels crazy making.

i don’t want to go into work tomorrow. i just want us to act like these kids are worth protecting against covid. we need to reevaluate until vaccines are available to all ages.
