Acoustic Foam Walls - Sims 4 CC

I made these for Katerina’s LP because I want to eventually create a recording studio for her and couldn’t find any soundproof walls around. Please note that the walls are flat though they’re designed to give the illusion of being raised like acoustic foam is in real life. The illusion does fade a bit if you hang something flat on them though. Great for sound studio, radio station, web broadcasting area, or any other space you want to appear soundproofed.

Here's a different texture that goes more into matte and nude territory for those who aren't into shiny. I added a little gradient effect to highlight the square shape and have something going on for the nails in general. I'm very satisfied with how it turned out, the nails look so soft.

Tutorial: Fixing slider compatible CAS CC with broken textures

If your CAS CC is compatible with Color Sliders for Hair, Clothes, & Accessories by thepancake1 and @mizoreyukii is looking something like this (Tights by @magic-bot):

then I will show you to fix this using TS4AlphaConverter_2_2_0_0 by CmarNYC.

I don't know how or why this happens, but it seems to be an issue with LRLE texture compression.

💜 Requirements:

TS4AlphaConverter_2_2_0_0

CAS CC you want to fix

There are 2 Options you can choose from:

Letting the program fix the LRLE compression if you want to keep the slider compatibility

Disabling the CC for color sliders

💜 1. Fixing LRLE compression

1. For fixing this issue, you can only use the folder option and not single files: Select your input folder which contains the .packages you want to fix. Then select your output folder where you want to save the new files. "Include subfolders" is handy if your CC goes into more folders inside your input folder. It will reproduce the same file structure.

2. I would recommend enabling "Don't change package names" so you can just replace your input files directly, otherwise it adds "_Fixed" at the end of the filename. I will also leave "Don't copy unchanged packages" checked.

3. Next we will select "Updated LRLE compression". You can leave "Convert all textures in package" checked.

4. These are my finished settings:

7. Press "Go". It will then take a while depending on file amount and swatches, as it will have to go through textures one by one.

WINDENBURG 2024 ... A HUGE REDUX & UPDATE :)

Here we are ... After 2 weeks of intensive work :D comes the release of Windenburg 2024, 4 years after the first update and 8 years after the first release ... A long time due bold update where we tried to enhance one of the most iconic sims 4 World ...

We made a lot of work on urban stuff ( mainly ) and tried to enhance everything we could, except the ruins which are a work apart ;)

We enhanced the grounds ( streets, pavements ), the walls, some colors of the soils, the rocks, the textures, and even the fake buildings and houses :D

We made too some modifications such as the kakemono ( we made newer simlish pictures ), the streetlights ( we removed the stupid little posters in order to get cooler street lamps ), we added some textures to the plastic/glossy sculptures, we corrected basic textures we didn't make last time, we made an overhaul brighter aspect, we worked on many details all around when it was possible ...

Even where the textures were already ok, we revised the whole stuff ... Well you'll see ;)

We divided this Windenburg ( Get Together ) update in 5 files :

There are an important k-303 file in order to get all the textures in the right place ... a kinda "bizarre" element which doesn't appear without this :/ but do not worry, it's nothing embarrassing for your game ;)

RIP, CmarNYC

I’m very sad to report that Sims 3 and 4 creator CmarNYC passed away in October 2023. For 15 years, Simmers benefited from Cmar’s long-honed computing skills as she created much-loved modders’ and players’ tools, including the Sims 3 and 4 MorphMakers and Skininators, the TS4 SimRipper, the Sims 3 XCAS core mod, and many CAS sliders. She was also a contributor to S4PE, which likely was used by creators you rely on. Without Cmar’s work, the Sims franchise would have had a much less rich array of mods and custom content. She will be greatly missed.

As well as Sims, Cmar loved cats, and donations are suggested to the ASPCA, the TinyKittens Society, or an animal-related charity near you.
