Wow, I didn't even notice hiw ableist the wording of that trait is! I'm going to write a big feedback thing for the devs and and I'll be including that in the part about character creation.

I don't like how the system currently exists, and it has ableist language on top of it so I hope we're able to get it changed

Yeah, I was excited to play, booted up the game, made my little para, saw that and just closed the game afterwards, it left such a bitter taste tbh. I think the more feedback comes in, the higher the chances are it gets changed, they put so much effort into other inclusivity aspects, so this was honestly kind of weird and uexpected to see then.

Maybe I'm overreacting or something, but isn't this lowkey kinda ableist? Like, where is the correlation between skill and getting sick? Being sick only limits opportunities of someone being able to get to doing stuff, you have less chances to do things when you're ill. Maybe this was the intent behind tying health with skill progression?? Idk. Still don't like the reasoning.

#this game tries so hard to be inclusive but then takes jabs at chronically ill people. like the implication you are bad at everything -#- in life just bc you fall sick easily. kinda soured the excitement for this game a little for me #also: slow skill progression isn't a bad thing either. some people just take longer but dang this is framed in such a negative context #paralives

the SDX section in the options is missing? I check it every now and then in case there is something, but it seems to be completely gone?

okay my love can you please explain tomodachi life gameplay to me?

cuz i don't have a nintendo switch and can't check it out for myself, but i just saw the silliest twilight based tomodachi video, and i'm confused as to whether you input words character say yourself, or they say them on their own? like, the things they said didn't sound completely random and i thought the player made them say it, but she looked genuinely surprised. and i'm so curious how things happen there.

I'M SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY, I'll try to explain the appeal of this silly game to you, it's genuinely a LOT of fun but I feel like just seeing it doesn't convey how funny it can be, cause you just see screenshots and may feel like 'ok, they said that, or well, that happened', but even if you add the prompts yourself, most of the stuff happens on its own. The words you add end up being added to conversations already going on. Creates chaotic coincidences. If it's not fitting to a character it still ends up hilarious. It's like watching an aquarium full of stupid fishes. But somehow it's also like a gameshow. You can't PLAY play the game yourself like a RPG or something, but you can watch over them. Do you know Tamagotchi? Super similar as a concept actually. You even have to feed them! (or let them visit a restaurant on their own.)

Every Mii is their own person, you have to choose their personality based on scale settings, and it ends up having results very similar to MBTI. If you set them accordingly, the things they say end up being even more accurate.

Do you remember the ask you sent me about Aaron and a stool? Well, apparently the game also thinks he needs one, he is too short.

It's such a simple game by concept, but the details are amazing. Characters and real people can feel really lifelike and accurate to the actual version.

you can also put what nicknames they call each other. Makes for cute or priceless moments.

also there's a photo studio! Really, there's so much stuff you can do with the game :)

WATERDROP Pet & Animal Eyes

Hi hi! I've been quite sick for almost 3 weeks now, was going thru the worst flu I've had in years prolly (which means something bc I tend to get sick often due to my weak immune system), some symptoms are still lasting, but well. To get my mind off things I've wanted to finish a WIP I've been cooking since a while, and here it is - the Waterdrop eyes, but an edition solely for our beloved animals and pets!

Included are:

Defaults and non-defaults for the animals that are customizable in CAS: the cats, dogs (both large and small) and horses.

9 colors each for all 3 species. Cats and dogs have heterochromia options too, mix and match however you want!

Besides these, I've also made default replacements for the farm, ranch & wild animals (hens, roosters, chicks, cows, llamas, foxes, rabbits, wild birds, and the miniature goats + sheep)

Does your OC have any difficulty distinguishing between love and lust?

Sometimes only... generally she does not fall for people fast, but if she finds them exceedingly attractive, she could think she likes a person more than she actually does, until she realizes that sometimes it's just from the first positive impression, or that the personality doesn't mesh with hers.

Does your OC pursue only monogamous relationships? Or are they open to other, more creative, options?

Strictly monogamous, usually. I feel like in rare cases she MIGHT be okay with an open relationship, but otherwise she's not in mood for experimental stuff. Would rather stick in her comfort zone.

Does your OC have a type? Have they ever been surprised by their feelings for someone who doesn't fit this?

Yes, she's been surprised by the fact that she actually has no type at all! The personality of someone mostly is the main defining aspect, everything else just has to fit randomly fit to her likinf. She also tends to find people prettier and prettier if she grows to like someone very much during a timespan.

Kinda feel like posting some tidbits about Aaron :]

He dislikes doing eye contact (except with a camera ofc), if he's able to avoid it, he usually does so. But whenever he wants to appear that he's looking someone into the eyes, he just stares at the area between both brows. Works well enough for him & as a bonus, it manages to not make him feel creeped out.

ALWAYS wears socks while sleeping. He hates sleeping barefoot and only does so if the temperatures are way too hot to handle.

Speaking of weather conditions, he is whiny about almost every state. Genuinely. At home he doesn't really care, but if he's outside it's always either too cold, too warm, too wet, too dry, blah... You get the gist. Only rarely the climate is actually fine in his opinion.

Super quickly gets hooked onto stuff, also he's self-aware about this fact, so he doesn't want to try out many things that tend to intrigue him, cause he knows exactly how prone he is to getting addicted to the concept of... anything!

Is a bit oblivious to his surroundings. If he's standing in a doorway, and someone wants to pass by, or other similar situations, he tends to not notice until someone tells him to move, look around, etc.

Has no drivers license and mostly doesn't mind it. He prefers to use public transportation, or if he wants to do a little workout while saving some money on top of it, he uses his bike.

While I was cleaning up my blog I've noticed that I haven't made a 2025-related post of yearly favs like I've done the last years (2024, 2023, 2022), so I'll be making up for that before we're actually reaching summer lol.
