Ainsel Cinderfoot "Little Red One"
The courts are forever fighting for power. Although the seasons come and go every year, Winter and Summer courts' power waning and waxing as the autumnal circle repeats every year on the mortal realm, they fight as if one will one day over power the other and cause either everlasting tundra or an infinity of scalding summer.
Sometimes though, they do try to make a little peace. Although this is also something that will never stay for long..if at all.

::The End of The Red One::
Only because she knew that she was the one for the job. Only because Queen Tuana was her long time friend and sister had she accepted this task of becoming the Winter Court Ambassador for her. The unofficial title was 'spy.' Tuana had made her promise that she return alive as well, blessing her with more than a few kisses before letting her most powerful guard and best friend go.
Ainsel still felt the warmth of her Queen's lips upon her forehead, cheeks, and lips. She remained stoic as she entered the Maeve's court.
Maeve sneered down at the younger fey who's infamous red cloak billowed softly out behind her. Although the action wasn't anything the Summer Fey was doing on purpose, it still angered the Queen. How dare she come in here with such confidence. Standing as if she were not a little baby fawn in a lions den.
"I, The Little Red One of Summer Court, come as Ambassador in the peacetreaty." The diminutive little fey made the smallest, slightest, bow..eyes still cast up to Queen Maeve. Of course everyone in the fey realm had a title...or multiple titles. Names held magic here. To know a name meant to hold control. Ainsel held her name closely.
Maeve sat on her thrown as the new Summer Fey barely bowed to her and announced herself. She already hated her and with agonizingly slow grace she stood. Her shoes and the soft drag of her dress made the only sound across the great room as she made her way down the steps toward Ainsel.
"Ah, So my dear sister decided to give up her precious Little Red.." As she approached, a finger tipped with a threateningly long nail gently raised to meet Ainsel's chin. "...Not as threatening as I'd imagined.." Maeve lowered her eyes to her.
Ainsel glared at her. She had brought her weapons, but she was abiding by her Queen's orders. She stood docile, but radiated firey hatred.
Still staring down at Ainsel, a slow smile slid across the Winter Queen's mouth as she spoke.
"Take the cloak. And the weapons."
Two guards came and stripped her of the two things dearest to her..and she let them.
"Don't worry. You will have them returned before you leave this place...." The Queen cackled loudly and turned arpund to head back to her seat, a hand waved carelessly for someone to take Ainsel away.
