“Well… it’s always nice to visit the reef.” Jana stated as she and Cayde trasmatted out of their ships.
“-Too bad it’s not for fun.-” Light said over the coms.
“What do you mean? This is going to be way more fun than being stuck in the tower” Cayde quipped as they walked.
“-the tower isn’t so bad.-“
“Yeah well you’re not stuck in it” Cayde pointed out as he and Jana approached the awoken who was waiting. “Petra Venj. Thanks for the invite.” Petra gave a smile in greeting.“Whatcha packing for this party?”
“Meh” Petra pulled out her knife. “The usual.”
“Ooh!” Cayde gasped as he got excited seeing the knife. “Do the thing.” He leaned over not taking his eyes off the knife.
“Seriously, watch this.” He said
“Floaty knife trick thing?” Jana questioned quietly.
“Exactly” He said giddily.
Petra levitate The knife off of her hand spinning it around. Jana always wondered how she did that. Awoken magic? She watched as she grabbed it out of the air
Cayde shuddered at the knife trick “that’ll never not freak me out.”
“-double negatives isn’t proper grammar.-“ Light pointed out. Jana shook her head smiling at lights effort.
“Do it again!” Cayde said excitedly completely ignoring my ghost. Jana laughed alittle.
“Later.” Petra said putting her knife back “maybe.” She added jabbing her thumb over her shoulder. “Right now gen-pop is running wild. Fortunately, the main area and lower levels remain on lockdown. But if the core security systems fail…” she trailed off drawing her side arm. She looked over her shoulder.
“Containment is going to be… a problem.” She turned back to them.
“Just another day at the office.” Cayde quipped putting his hands on his hips.
“This is my first prison riot.” Jana stated as Petra took off.
“All right, partner,” Cayde spoke up drawing his gun. He walked to the edge of the walkway. “This is a Cayde riff in 6, watch me for the changes, and, uh… try to keep up.”He held his gun up looking pretty cool.
“Now lets go to prison!” He cheered goofily jumping off the edge of the platform. “WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!”
“That looks fun…” jana trailed off
“-you are NOT doing that.-“ Light said sternly.
“Aww come on” jana chuckled.
“Let’s just get going. That prison riot isn’t “-going to stop it’s self-“
“-There will be lots of punching-“
“Got you!” Jana could hear Cayde fighting below. It was one of the few times she’d heard him having that much fun. “Got you!” He kept repeating.
“This will be easy!” Jana smiled to her self.
