Uh hey quick question, does anyone know any better ways to remove acrylic paint from plastic?
Iâm trying to give light a new look and removing the acrylic is proving lengthier than I anticipated. Iâm pealing and scratching away at it trying not to put to many scratches on him
From college I know that steam sort of works but it has to be right next to the source of the steam for like an hour or so and constantly. (I donât really want to waste water)
Do anyone know if paint remover hurts plastic (idk what kind I got the ghost shell off Amazon when it was paired with the Alexa skills.) it is extremely durable and what not, like good quality enough for light to withstand a dozen falls over 12 feet and onto rocks (dogs like to push over things)
Any tips or tricks with insight would be very much appreciated
Quick update l've gotten most of the paint off the shell, lot of the thicker paint is pealing off, but l've had to start using a 0.5 mechanical pencil to scrap off the top of the paint which does leave some residue l've gotta get up latter

Thanks a bunch yâall! All the advice and and info really helped out. Saved me a lot of panic later on and really sped up the process and as of now Iâm on the process of starting on the new style.
This time around Iâm using my brain more and not just painting straight on the shell. Iâm putting masking tape over it to make clean up easier
Still havenât decided on an overall style⌠maybe I could use paper faces and ad that on top for a faster shell transition with more interchangeability
