      Sadly, I’ve come to the realization that I really need to take a step back from DRP. Not sure if it’s muse issues or what but all I do know is that I do plan on returning at some point. When? I’m not sure. As who? Again not sure. But we shall see when the time comes.

       All my blogs will remain up for archive purposes (and maybe possibly re-use to). Maybe I’ll even hop on every now and then when I feel in the mood for the character and could do a few small indie threads every now and then but I’m not 100% sure on that. If that were to happen it would likely be only for Zarina or Firebird though.

       In any case I must say that I love this group and everyone here! I thank you all for the memories made and all the wonderful stories created! And for helping me to improve on my writing skills if only by a little! I wish you all the best and hope you all have the greatest adventures you could possibly have! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥            ~And now whatever way our stories end,                    I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend.~

♢ Right then, noting this now. I have no wish to be so inactive but, I have been having computer issues and now it seems that I am reduced to mobile and the secondary desktop that my brother is on like 24/7 aside from when he has to go to school of course so that means my activity is going to be even more spare despite the fact I have full motivation to do stuff! XP

I shall get on when I can but sadly until we either get an new desktop or I get a new laptop I shall mostly become a ghost... *sigh*

The day of the ball // Kida & ???

Covering her mouth as it gaped in a yawn, Alice stood among the chitter chattering guests of the ballroom. The girl had been never been to a ball, being that she was only 11 years old and not at the proper age to begin attending. She doubted, though, that she would ever have been able to attend a Prince’s ball in all her years - her family not being THAT high in the social circle - so when Alice caught word of such an event, she figured it was too rare not to take up!

Alice saw now, though, that she wasn’t missing out on much. The event that everyone seemed so excited to be attending was actually incredibly boring. Then again, what would they have to be doing for her to be entertained? Alice was very aware that her sense of “fun” was different from others… Oh but sister would be SO jealous when she heard that Alice stole away to the Prince’s ball!

Deep in thought, Alice didn’t notice the person who almost collided with her until they spoke up and she turned to look upon a most peculiar sight. Youthful looking, strong, … and white hair? Most peculiar indeed. With no introduction, Alice said, “I beg your pardon, but why is your hair white?”

She hadn’t been here very long but Kida was sure she hadn’t seen any others here that were as young as the girl before her. The warrior knelt slightly, adjusting her skirt as she did, so as to be level with the young girl. The warrior couldn’t help smile slightly as the girl asked her question. It was not the first time she’d received that very same question in her time on the surface.

“I was born with it this color, as all of those whom live where I do.” She explained simply, as she done with everyone else who’d ever asked. “I do very much like your hair as well, it reminds me of the sun.”

A thought passed through Kida’s mind and she soon asked it. “Are you here by yourself? You seem rather young to be at such an event like this to be alone.” She realized, but then maybe those of this girl’s age were allowed to attend such events on their own. Still, the warrior felt it best to ask just to make sure.

26. Valentine’s Day Truth or Dare

Cassim was never sociable or accommodating when it came to parties or social gatherings like this, mainly because he was usually an uninvited guest to them and robbed everyone blind of their precious items and wealth. He tried having a glass of some fizzing white wine (it wasn’t bad but he did prefer ale or rum) to calm his nerves and for a while, the alcohol helped. But then some games were commencing and he was shoved in the group that would be playing “Truth or Dare”. 

The former king of thieves suppressed a groan. He heard about this game before, from Aladdin when he told him about one of Genie’s game galas and the near disaster all the truths and dares entailed in. If he wanted to avoid being mentally scarred by some random strangers, it was best he pick the most innocuous answers and dares. Some people didn’t mind the embarrassment but Cassim wasn’t one of them.

It was rather refreshing to know there was someone else in this gala who seemed out of place or just as awkward as he was at the whole social atmosphere. At least there would be someone he could converse with, even for a few minutes before the games began.

“Truth or Dare works something like this: you can either ask or be asked ‘truth or dare’? Truth is when you give someone a question and it must be a truthful ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Dare is when you tell a person to do something. For instance, if you select dare and someone in this group tells you to sing your favorite song while hopping on one foot, you do it.” Cassim explained. “Did I clarify the game well enough? It’s easy to pick up once you start playing.”

The warrior listened carefully to the explination given. It sounded like a rather strange game, but if people on the surface found it amusing then it must be such, at least a little right?

“Ah, so that is why it is called such.” She realized as she straightened her head once more and shifted her weight to the other side. “How would one begin such a game then?” She wondered eager to learn a surface game. Perhaps when she returned home she could teach it to her people!

The day of the ball // Kida & ???

Kida looked around in amazement at the grand room she now stood within. She’d never seen anything like it! From the grand golden and white crystal that glittered at the center of the ceiling to the smooth stone of the floor under her feet. She tugged nervously at the skirt of the dress she’d obtained to wear. She’d been told that this was the sort of fashion expected here so she couldn’t well complain, but it felt so weird wearing so much fabric all at once.

The warrior wondered for a moment how people were supposed to fight in such garments. But it soon dawned on her that perhaps they weren’t meant to be worn in such a situation...how odd. Why would they not wish to be prepared at all times?

She wove her way through the crowd exploring all she could. This was how royalty was treated on the surface apparently. Her nose crinkled at the thought, she was almost glad her city hadn’t been around long enough for such a lifestyle to occur. She couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be copped up in such a glittering cage. As pretty as it all was anyway...her thoughts were cut short as she stopped in her tracks just in time to avoid colliding with another. “Ah, forgive me I was not paying attention to where I was going.”

The warrior had yet to really attend a surface world party before, sure she’d been invited to the grand ball that was to be held however, that had yet to pass. She wondered for a moment if it was to be similar to this one, but she eventually figured not as the invitation had been from royalty and this seemed more just a general social gathering.

When she heard the announcement that there were to be games starting she couldn’t help wonder just what was in store. She was told to join in a game called ‘truth or dare’ unsure of just what that meant she glanced over to the other that was placed in the same group she’d been. “Do you know what this ‘Truth or Dare’ game is?” She asked, hand on a hip and head tilted to the side in curiosity.

Kida couldn’t help a slight chuckle of her own. “Aurora it is then.” She agrees with a small nod, a truly genuine smile upon her lips now.

This hadn’t exactly been how she expected this day to turn out, but then she hadn’t been expecting much to begin with. So, it was a rather pleasant turn of events.

“I am Kida, it’s uh, very nice to met you.” She says as she begins to distract herself  a little by moving the money from the counter of the booth and to the tiny box she’d been provided to keep it within. “Aurora is a very lovely name by the way.” She adds as she lets the metal lid of the box close with a small ‘clank’.

“Thank you, but I personally think it sounds too posh. I like Kida - it sounds exotic but it’s simple,” and she offered a genuine smile back. 

She heard the clank of the box and knew now was the time she would have to fill with small talk or some sort of excuse…she was very bad at both. And her action was SO random! Perhaps a more cunning exit could be imagined. 

“So…Kida,” she sang the name off her lips, “Saturday I don’t have work. I like to go to the park to feed the ducks, but if you’re too warm-blooded for that i hear they’re showing the new Mad Max movie in the nearby theaters. Either way, I will be at the dove fountain in the central area. 12 o’clock.”  She winked before turning away. “Don’t leave me waiting,”  

She got 3 steps before throwing another set of words over her shoulder. “I’ll pay!” and then she whipped her head back because she was afraid to reveal the blush on her cheeks.”

Still, as she vanished through the crowd she had a good feeling she had just snagged herself a girlfriend.

What to Wear? // Kida & Wendy

The warrior had recently been invited to a ball of sorts, or at least that what it was called upon the paper she’d received. What exactly a ball was, she’d no clue, nor did she have any idea of just how one would dress in such an occasion. She wondered for a moment if it were some sort of celebration or something, it seemed likely.

The atlantien had been wandering for some time when she noticed the forest around her beginning to thin to revel a strange sight before her. It looked like a city maybe? That was her guess at least for most of what was around looked like they could be buildings of some kind. The architecture was unfamiliar, but then it had been a long time since she’d last been on the surface so likely time must’ve allowed those still around to change the way things looked.

Tilting her head curiously the warrior leaned her spear against a near-by tree and removed her mask in order to get a better view of the area below. She could see people wandering the streets going about their day to day lives. The warrior hesitated, biting her lip in question as she debated to herself on traveling down. Glancing over to her weapon and mask she figured eventually decided she would travel to where the people were, however now was the question of what to do with her things. She wasn’t sure if wandering around with weapon in hand and mask covering her entire self would be a good idea. But she couldn’t just leave them here....

She ended up deciding on hiding them in a fair-sized bush for now and if she needed either she could always come back for them. Carefully she made her way down to the city streets.

Kida could feel many eyes upon her but she didn’t let it bother her, rather she was fixated on exploring all that was around her. It was all so thrilling! She quickly found what was likely the market area of the city as many of the places around her displayed a variety of products within. She soon stopped in front of one particular shop where she noted many beautiful dress. She’d never seen so much fabric used for just one garment before! “I...wonder if this is what one wears to a ball...” she mused aloud unaware her words had been heard.

The touch of this strange girl’s lips made Aurora’s anxious knees weak, and despite her brave front she couldn’t deny the rush of blood from her head. The soft, forbidden brush of foreign flesh gave the touch all the more flavor. She was tempted to lean forward a little more just as the girl pulled back and Aurora suddenly realized this wasn’t a romantic fantasy, but real life. 

Pulling back, she found herself blushing, and a giggle sneaked out. 

“Hey, sweetie, what’s your name?” she teased, still giggling. She was a mess, but for the first time today she was a happy mess. “You can call me Aurora,”

Her hands were tightened into fist, so much so she could feel her muscles trembling. Why was she here, what was she doing? She was a rational girl, raised by rational folks. Why was she at a kissing booth? This girl wasn’t a stunning star that called to her like a ship lost as sea, nor did she offer anything more than a momentary affection. This beautiful girl - for all intents and purposes - was there, standing there and just as confused as Aurora, it seemed from appearances.

And then she remembered Gerald. Just how smug he probably felt right now that he left her and how he probably didn’t even offer a second thought on her. He getting what he wanted, but what did Aurora want? Revenge mostly, but perhaps…a warm, tender moment. Yes, that is what she wanted. Not a thousand roses or boxes of candy. She wanted to feel happy this Valentine’s Day, simply happy in the touch of someone else.

She reached into her purse and placed a five dollar bill down. She didn’t care that it was four dollars and fifty cents over as she took a breath, slowing her pulse and allowing her to admire the beautiful lady in front of her. She offered her her friendliest smile - a smile stressed by the trials of her day yet touched by her sudden bout with courage. Leaning forward she battered her eyelashes a bit for affect and puckered her lips. She didn’t want words - she wanted action.

Well, this was not a situation Kida had been expecting to get herself into today. Again, not that there was a problem for her with such a thing it was just surprising. As she looked over the blonde she noticed that it looked like the other was in a bit of distress. Judging by the day and the other people around she guessed it was maybe plans go awry, specifically with a date, or someone of the like at the very least. Or so she guessed anyway...

The dark skinned woman sighed softly, returning the smile the violet-eyed girl had offered her, this one being much more genuine then the one she’d forced onto her face earlier. Alright, as much as Kida resented the fact she’d been put into this situation she would admit that at least things could be worse. Unlike the one prior this girl actually seemed sweet, and hey she was rather cute too.

With one more sigh Kida leaned forward as well so her lips were now lightly pressed against the others. Now, normally she was told that the kisses only had to be a couple seconds at most, but considering; one, the girl had overpaid by quite a bit and two, it looked like she could use some sort of affectionate gesture today, she lingered for a few moments longer then usual before eventually pulling away.

11 Muse A comes across Muse B’s kissing booth, for charity. Muse A doesn’t have a date. Paying for a smooch seems reeeally appealing right about now.

Curse Gerald! Leaving her at the last second like that, how could he!? At least he could have pretended he cared for another day or so! Her 3 aunts were understanding enough, but unable to help her out. Business called them away, and now she was left without family, a friend…

And a valentine. 

Aurora Rose didn’t try to let it show - she was strong, independent woman who didn’t need no man! At least that is what Tiana, her currently-on-a-date-with-a-handsome-foreign-man friend, says! Drat! 

Even the money her three aunts gave her to go to the carnival did little to comfort her. She was left alone, at a place FULL of couples. She might as well, go home, take a warm shower and cry herself to sleep tonight!

She kicked a lone soda can, causing it to spiral away in a twirl. Double drat!

Her chest heaved with frustrations and sadness. She didn’t want to admit it, but her romantic heart was hurting. It was just..so wrong! To just leave her high and dry like some horse you could ride and then put back in the stable! Well, this wild stallion was going to have her day, mark her words! She was gonna have a good time whether it killed her or-

Platinum hair was not normal, at least not to her understanding. The girl’s dark skin and blue eyes marked her as mixed, but to the lonely, easily-excited heart of Aurora she could only imagine this girl being some wild, beautiful African of noble birth over a majestic land. Probably with superpowers like in all those anime shows, because her hair was…white.

Her self-esteem was low indeed today, and she learned just how low when she happened to glance above the girl at the booth and read the word “Kisses - 50 cents”

She looked back to the girl, then to the sign, then back to the girl. Aunt Flora never said to make love with strangers, but Aunt Merryweather said it didn’t mean you could have a good time…

Her feet carried her before her mind clicked with what she was doing.

Kida’s fingers drummed boredly on the wooden surface of the make-shift booth. This, had been far from her idea, in fact she’d been more or less forced into it- or rather into this particular role anyway, she’d much rather be off doing more fun things then standing here and having to kiss random strangers.

On the bright side of things at least she could take satisfaction in the fact that it seemed this booth was not getting the attention those whom had come up with it had intended for it. There had only been one person to come by so far but he’d been such a jerk Kida had just punched him right in the face instead and made him run off with a broken nose.

Well ok, she couldn’t be all too harsh about it, the intentions were good after all, donating the proceeds to charity and whatnot, but still.

Her blue eyes looked about for something to do once her ‘shift’ here was over, after all the carnival would be going on for a while so there would still be time to do at least a couple things before she had to leave. That’s when she spotted the blonde making her way towards the booth.

She almost hoped it was her imagination but no, soon enough the girl was standing before her, not that there was a problem it was just unexpected. Kida straightened up and put on the best polite smile she could muster. “Oh, uh, hello.”

A quick couple drums of her fingers against the wood once again. “Well, um,” she composed herself and managed to barely remember what she’d been told to say in case anyone stopped by. “Are you interested in donating to charity today? Just fifty cents and in return I shall give you a kiss.” Man that sounded ridiculous...but it is what it is she supposed.

Glittering Stars of Color // Ping & Kida ((Valentines Meme))

She almost hadn’t expected to see the blue waters of the ocean again. A small sign of fear passed over her features as she hesitated walking onto the odd-looking ship before her. Thoughts of giant waves crashing against it and eventually forcing it down into the dark depths rang plagued her if only for the time. She sighed, the thoughts retreating allowing her to relax before moving forward slowly. 

“Are you sure about this?” Kida asked glancing over to the one whom had invited her aboard in the first place as she wandered onto the port where Ping had already been waiting. “This doesn’t exactly seem...safe really.” She noted looking about and realizing just how exposed the entire area was to the elements.

Taking a moment to compose herself once more the warrior spoke again. “Not that I’m not grateful to receive such an invitation, seeing these works of fire seems like it would be rather fun.” she added quickly not wanting to offend the one surface dweller she knew well enough to trust even a little bit.

Both brows were raised now. Underground? Not on the surface in a long time? … A very long time? Ping noted her white hair. It was not common for older women to have white hair, like snow. It was always grey and silver. 

Many communities thought those with white hair were possessed by demons… Ping had never been one to truly believe such a thing but everything was coming together… Underground. White hair. Speaks all languages. 

The soldier backed up slowly. “You’re a demon, aren’t you?” he hissed, his hand moving, once again, to the hilt of his sword.

Kida’s eyes narrowed at such an accusation. “I’m not a demon.” She reassured, a tad bitter at the fact that the idea had even been entertained. But after a moment she realized the way her words had sounded and sighed, the bitterness leaving her tone as she spoke again.

“No, I am no demon.” The warrior decided it best to try and explain as best she could. “You see...my home was cast underground after a great flood sank it. I was only a child when it happened so I haven’t been on the surface since.” She explained, wondering if that even helped at all or merely made the situation worse, and should it have her grip tightened on her weapon slightly ready to move it at a moment’s notice just in case.
