welcome! this blog is for my oc x canon ships and other ship specific things (so my main blog doesn't utterly drown in it)

while everything is essentially oc x canon, many of my ocs started as self inserts before becoming their own people, so this doubles as a selfship blog in aspects. also the selfshipping community is a wonderful place and you guys have provided a lot of resources to fill out my character relationships. everything will be tagged appropriately and I'll simply block where I'm unhappy.

Imagine your selfship needs to climb up somewhere high, perhaps a roof. Maybe it's to fix a satellite or someone got a Frisbee/ball/whatever stuck up there, or it's just time to clean the rain gutters.

Would any of them be comfortable climbing up the ladder and going on the roof? Would they do it without hesitation or would it take a while? Or would they all quickly agree to just phone a friend or service to fix it for them?

It could be life or death, or the most meaningless issue. It could actually be EASIER to ask someone else. No matter what, they're up there.

Selfshipping is so fun when you realise it really is as simple as just shipping yourself with characters, you dont need merch, you dont need to be constantly obsessed or even "obsessed in the first place" you can show your love for them to the world or you can keep everything private it doesn't matter 🫶🏻

it sucks feeling like one of the only selfshippers that can't draw!! it's hard to find consistent motivation to practice, too. writing just doesn't feel like enough sometimes.

That gentle tone, that soothing voice, their voice. They call out to you. They see your distress, not in accusation, but like they truly see you. What you're feeling. What you need.

Their arms wrap around you like a blanket. Hold you close to their warm or cool chest. Protect you from the outside world or maybe your own inner demons. They murmur sweet comforting words to distract you from your thoughts. Or maybe you need silence, their steady breathing enough to ground you back to reality.

Or maybe you need space, maybe a hug would feel suffocating. That's fine, they don't judge, they will never judge. Instead, they sit close by, so you know you're not alone. In silence, humming a slow melody, whispering reassurance, whatever is best to help you.

Why? Because they love you.

i need you to imagine your f/o’s “oh. oh.” moment. aka: the moment it hits them like a freight train that they’ve fallen for you, and fallen hard. what caused it? was it a big gesture, teasing from a friend, a shared moment together, or something else entirely? were they in public, trying desperately to hide their burning face? or do they take a moment to let out all of their emotions in private? imagine them frustrated out of their mind, believing that it was foolish to let themselves get so close to you. but now they can’t deny it anymore; they need to have you.

imagine your f/o cuddling attacking you. like you are laying in bed and they suddenly just lay beside you and holding you. and if they aren't a cuddler they just simply say "the cuddle demon possesed me." now if you are like me and one of your f/os are a demon and you point this out they simply say "the cuddle angel possesed me"

if you don't have at least half an hour of undisrupted free time, you shouldn't consider/imagine all of the ways you'd incorporate both your and your f/o's different cultures in your wedding

Your f/o has developed a very specific habit of standing slightly closer to you than necessary. Not touching. Just... within range. They have not consciously noticed they're doing this. Everyone else has.
