12.05.2023 - I've had a hectic week, so it's nice to get some me time with some books, tea, and a muffin. Not sure how long it's going to last as I've got to go out for a family member's birthday meal as soon as my brother gets home from work... But I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
Oh and DON'T READ MY KOBO SCREEN! IT HAS SPOILERS ON IT and I didn't process it until now - sorry!

Variations of the word “cat” in Russian
Question: Does your language have a punny answer when asking for the time?
I know the English one (and similar ones like that):
“What’s the time?” - “Time to get a watch.” or “Time to [insert funny answer]”
And one German one is:
“Was sagt die Uhr?” - “Tick-tack.”
(What does the clock say? - Tik-tok)
I would really like to know whether this is something that is common in several languages, so feel free to comment or reblog if you know a similar pun in your language!

The most discernible difference between me and the people I admire is that they are going for it. Whatever it is. The thing that they love doing, that they prioritize doing, I see it happen. I see the way the world opens up for people who are decisive. So I know it works. I’m still unsure of how best to use my array of skills, but the conversation is happening and I’m dusting out the cobwebs in my imagination. Listening for what feels good. I want to be someone I admire. I know the universe is giddy with opportunities for me, but I have to step outside my bubble of lethargy to access them. I haven’t seriously embraced the responsibility that is my own life, and, instead, living has been this passive experience. The people I admire are actively involved in their overall satisfaction with their lives. I want to be someone I admire.

Meaning: someone's handwriting is crab-frog (= chicken scratch, scrawly)
Note: just replace the word کسی (kasi) with the name or pronoun of the person whose handwriting is bad; for example: دستخط پزشکم خرچنگقورباغه است (dast-xatt-e pezešk-am xarčang-qurbāġe ast), "my doctor's handwriting is crab-frog" / دستخطت خرچنگقورباغه است (dast-xatt-et xarčang-qurbāġe ast), "your handwriting is crab-frog"
