Six years after his breakthrough at Eurovision, his song “J’ai cherché” has been certified Diamond in France!

After taking a year off from music, Amir returns with his latest song “La Fête” (The Party).  A new French tour has also been announced for 2021.

Amir is one of the judges for the semifinal phase of France’s search for their Eurovision participant, Destination Eurovision 2018.  The semis will air on January 13th and 20th, with the final on the 27th.  All shows will air on France 2.

Not in France but want to follow the shows?  Don’t worry, TV5Monde will broadcast the three shows worldwide, with TV5 Quebec airing it in Canada.

Amir’s star just keeps on shining, today he won his second consecutive MTV Europe Music Award for Best French Act!

He’s done it again!  For the second consecutive year, Amir wins the NRJ Music Award for Francophone Song of the Year - this time with “On dirait”!

It’s that time again!

Amir is once again nominated for Best French Act at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards!  He is the defending champion in this category, so let’s see if we can get him the double!

Big congratulations to Amir for winning the 2017 Chanson de l’Année prize for his song “On dirait”!  The competition was held during the Fête de la Musique event in Nîmes.

The secret’s out: for a week Amir teased us about a collaboration with his favorite band OneRepublic.  Today they released a bilingual version of the song “No Vacancy”, which can be accessed on all digital platforms (Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, etc.)!  It must have been a thrilling experience for Amir, a year after his Eurovision appearance his star is still shining bright in France.

Although it was announced on the leap day, it's amazing to think that a whole year has passed since Amir started his Eurovision journey.  Looking back on that time, it's been one incredible adventure after another, and today he stands as a true star in France.

He announced today that he will be joining Stéphane Bern and Marianne James in the commentary booth in Kiev for the final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest on May 13.  In France, it will air on France 2 (France 4 will air the semifinals).

Amir with his Eurovision successor, Alma.  On February 9, the singer from Lyon was chosen by France 2 to follow in his footsteps at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev and represent France.  Her song is called “Requiem”, which was written by Nazim Khaled,who co-wrote “J’ai cherché”.  She has also been keeping busy as the opening act on Amir’s cross-country tour.

Let’s wish her lots of luck, Amir seems to have much faith in her!
