Behold an estate that airs its own evil: whose scarecrows are its mummified enemies, who keeps company of its wailing ghosts, whose bloody hands are the shrubs themselves.

hearing My Chemical Romance’s Mama for the first time at 12 years old was just so detrimental like it was a fucking massacre a nigh-traumatic event. It the equivalent of a child’s first introduction to literature being Shakespeare or Dumas like sitting them down at age 5 and reading them Lord of the Flies??? It’s like a child asking to try a sip of beer and you give them on on fire shot of greygoose thats layered with other colorful liquors to look like a rainbow. Thats a child they can’t handle it, they can’t conceptualize it they dont have the development or the neurons to understand it and then for the rest of their life their standards are set so high for music that it has a genuine psycho-social effect on them
it’s a mediocre song with an ugly white guy singing it
