“I guess we’ve just breezed right past the whole “knocking-and-waiting-for-the-other-person-to-answer” phase.”
“You forget, niece, who owns this house.”
There’d been a time she’d no interest in staying at the mortuary forever. That was Edward’s job. Let him have the Academy, the Church and he could manage the mortuary as well and then everything changed. Now it was all her responsibility.
And so were the collective Spellman cousins.
If there was one thing Bella had gotten used to from living in the city, it was the privacy of her own apartment. Now, having had to return to the Coven and to Greendale, she’d lost it... and she wasn’t used it, as was made obvious by the fact that she fequently didn’t bother putting on clothing for the treck from her own private bathroom into what she thought was her private bedroom.
Hurriedly she pulls a silk robe over her body, tightening it with a scowl at her aunt. “Geez! I’m not a child anymore auntie Zee you can just barge in here without knocking! What if I’d had... company?” It was bad enough her aunt had seen her naked, she didn’t want to imagine her walking in on an intimate moment with someone.
"Unless you've taken after Hilda and you've brought a mortal home I highly doubt that." Unless she was the latest in the coven to fall for Melvin's charms. Somehow that was less likely than Bella sleeping with a mortal. "You're hardly the first woman to sneak men into this house, and I gurantee the rest of us- well your mother and I- have done everything you've even thought of."
“That’s beside the point...” Ugh she had to start locking her door, or better yet she should move out. Why was she, a grown witch, living with her aunties still? “And The day I start sleeping with mortals, just kill me..” she adds, crinkling her nose. There were more warlocks than the Order of Hecate had to offer, that was for sure, she certainly wasn’t going to feel the need to experiment with mortals.
“Never mind... did you need something?”
"Is it?" Zelda arched an eyebrow. "Between your mother and I we have several centuries of experience." Hecate knew how many people they'd snuck into this house. . . hundreds between the two of them. "You realize it's not against the rules anymore it's just. . . rather pathetic if you're not Hilda. I'm just not sure he totally counts as a mortal being a vampire and all."
“Can I get you anything? Water? Vodka? Xanax?” xoxo matildaxspellman
“You are not the least bit funny.” How in Hecate’s name had that child ended up every bit as chipper as her mother? Wasn’t the whole point of being a witch the fact you didn’t get hungover? Apparently Hecate had other ideas. “Go. Away.”

Walking within those old huge churches and within those old architectural buildings reminds me of the past lives of mine where I walked within the same and similar paths. It’s like a dejavu sometimes, but without my loved ones from back then!

Zelda: You know, the children treat me like a god.
Hilda: How so?
Zelda: They ignore my existence until they need something from me.
let me introduce u to this precious thing; a rly small mug with an Oscar Wilde quote and the most relatable lil dude. Look at him and don’t tell me u don’t feel exactly like that when u’re at ur fifth cup of coffee for the day, please

" i'm sorry... do you mind if i sleep in here? " (Abigail and Zelda just because feelings)
“You know we’re not stuffed six in a bed anymore don’t you?” Zelda cracked an eye open. Since Hilda moved out there wasn’t even cramped bedrooms for the family with Abigail here. . . not that she was family anymore. . . but she wasn’t exactly not family either. What was a person’s ex-husband’s sister who was still part of their coven and technically the only blood relation one’s daughter had. . . . “We expanded everything when the twins were born and Hilda’s moved out anyway.”
It’d been nothing but shuffles of bedrooms for months now. “That vampire of hers wouldn’t move in- something about that Hecate forsaken comic shop.”
“How could anyone prefer mortal Valentine’s Day, over Lupercalia?”
“Now was sort of question is that. It’s mass market chocolates that taste awful, and terrible cheesy movies, or the hunt?”
“Exactly! I’d much rather get wine drunk and go frolicking in the woods than have to sit through a rom-com and be pleasant about terrible chocolate and flowers that are basically already dying when you get them.” Bella offers, popping a delicate imported chocolate truffle into her mouth.
“Though the day after, when you can buy the good chocolate on sale, is a redeemable quality.”
"That would require there to be good chocolate to be associated with Valentine's Day period, Bella." Really Thanksgiving was the only mortal holiday Zelda had any use for at all. It wasn't so much the food or the holiday itsself really it was the football games. Although if Mass America would finally accept a real sport- rugby- she'd have been happier.
Football was alrigh in a pinch.
"Now explain this line of questoning. I know you don't have anyone for either holiday."
