i don’t write anymore and i’ve never came up with an oc before but i keep thinking about a character in the star wars universe that’s like a social anthropologist and studies all the different cultures and races. so they go to the stars, exploring and finding different groups to spend time with. and they live among them shortly while learning and helping out with the community. and not to make it all about the mandalorian but maybe the folks that encounter them tells mando to seek them out because maybe they could aid in his quest to find out more about grogu’s species so mando goes searching for them to help. and they’re super excited to meet a mandalorian and learn more about his culture while helping din find grogu’s home.

i have some more thoughts about my star wars oc:

human

originally from earth before leaving to travel the stars. kept a lot of knick-knacks from earth which came in handy when dealing with the jawas.

in return for one of their earth’s trinkets, the jawas gave them a pair of goggles the jawas typically wear that makes their eyes glow shiny (the goggles thing i heard about it in a youtube video on jawas…not entirely sure how accurate it is but i like it so i’m using it). they tend to wear these goggles a lot. some folks find them off-putting.

wear mostly jumpsuits or overalls. sometimes adorn a face veil that covers at least half of their face.

doesn’t have a permanent home because they’re constantly traveling and staying with other cultures, but keeps all the souvenirs they’re gifted from their travels in their ship. their ship is the closest thing to a home they have.

extremely curious, polite, and friendly to outsiders. fascinated by other cultures and always love to learn about them in the utmost respectful manner.

jots down a lot of notes during the time spent with other cultures.

slightly force sensitive. untrained and only is able to pick up emotions from others and can calm agitated folks–this helps make the people they visit more at ease of their presence.

tuskens are their favorite culture they’ve studied. they always get invited to stay with the sand people whenever passing through tatooine. they try to bring gifts, mainly water, whenever they’re able to and will help mediate on tuskens behalf with other locals.

sorry to keep rambling about my oc BUT i love the idea of them being friends with the tuskens so much and i’ve decided that they first met by the tuskens saving them from something or someone and thats how they were introduced to the sand people. so in exchange they help among the tribe and tell stories of earth in return. they end up practically getting adopted by the sand people :’)

i haven’t quite settled on a name for my oc just yet but thinking about how they would be a tusken stan before anything else and if they heard the way toro whatever his last name was or cobb vanth talk about the tusken they would dislike them so much (probably would keep their distance with cobb until he changed his tune) but they see how mando actually knows the language and how he’s friendly with the tusken’s dogs and they would be extra friendly towards him !!

once again having oc thoughts. i think they would adore the tusken children in the settlement and anytime they come back to tatoonie to visit they always bring back weird earth trinkets to the kids and they would dress up and play out stories around the fire. basically what i’m saying is that they love kids and would be the perfect babysitter for grogu whenever din’s busy with a bounty. he drops grogu off at the tusken village and when he comes back late he finds grogu sitting on one of the mastiffs, giggling and cooing excitedly, a little tusken robe thrown over his clothes and him and the other children are just having the time of their lives :’)
