For example, I'm on team mystery rn, and I'd like to mystery -> comedy -> trageady -> mystery, does that work? cause mystery is my fav theme and I'd like to end on it!!

What to Expect on August 2nd

Point totals will be hidden an hour before the event ends.

The event will end on August 2, 2025 at 12:00 PM MDT / 6:00 PM UTC.

You will not be able to submit attacks after this time. Staff will not be able to submit attacks for you. If you are unable to finish attacks this year, you may not submit them next year.

Site moderators will spend about two weeks going through attack rating reports.

Final Results Newspost

To account for the extension, the final results newspost will be released August 16th. The winners will not be formally announced until the score is finalized. Any remaining attack ratings reports will be closed.

On August 19th, the site and server will be set to read-only for the staff break and development period. They will not reopen until November 1st.

Assassination Classroom Timeline

This took me a year. I combed through the entire manga. If you don’t appreciate it, I’m going to riot.

April 23- Nagisa goes to get sushi. this is something that Koro-sensei grades after the Sugino incident, so we know that happens after (chapter 2)

May 1- Irina Jelavić first arrives in Class 3-E (chapter 8)

May 28- Ritsu first arrives in Class 3-E. This isn’t directly stated, but she says her next evolution phase is “5-28-02;” if it’s her second attack on May 28th, that makes sense, and they previously said it was nearing the end of May. (chapter 20)

Early June- Maehara’s girlfriend cheats on him (chapter 23)

June 15- Itona first arrives in Class 3-E (chapter 29)

July 2- Class E and Class A make the bet. the English on the shonen jump app says June 2, but I found the raw manga online and it says 7/2, which makes much more sense. I don’t know why the translators thought June was the seventh month. (chapter 51)

August- Lovro arrives for summer training. (chapter 57)

August 31- Last day of summer break. (chapter 72)

September- Beginning of the second semester. I think it can be assumed the assembly is on the first. (chapter 73)

September- Kayano makes a giant pudding during a three day weekend. Based on Japanese public holidays, this is likely Respect for the Aged Day (third Monday) or the Autumnal Equinox (22-23). (chapter 74)

September 28- A mysterious yellow lingerie thief strikes again. The English says it was the 28th at 3am, but the Japanese is too grainy to read. (chapter 83)

October 14- Class E receives their new P.E. uniforms. Four days since Irina’s birthday. (chapter 98)

October 18- Kidnapping. Three days have passed since Irina left. (chapter 101)

November- Career counseling. (chapter 112)

Mid-November- School festival. (chapter 115)

December- Finals. (chapter 121)

December 23-25- Kayano and Koro fight. She’s in the hospital for two weeks after. (chapter 142)

January 6- Nagisa &co visit Kayano in the hospital. She’s discharged two days later. (chapter 141)

if you draw all of a character except the feet does it count for fullbody or would it count as a halfbody?

This would count for fullbody! Around 75% of the character needs to be shown to be rated as fullbody. See the visual guide below:

Takeru and Iori's reactions to the other getting pegged by a snowball are so funny to me.

Takeru honestly looks amused but also a little scared, and that's probably as Iori's partner he agrees with Daisuke that Iori needs to learn to chill every once and a while, but also knows that doing something like this to Iori is a death wish(as hes totally done the same thing before).

Iori, on the other hand, looks entirely shocked and concerned. I mean, V-mon did hit Takeru right in the face and so hard Takeru is stumbling backwards, but Iori probably also knows how competitive Takeru can get and knows he won't let V-mon nor Daisuke get away with this.

They totally team up and destroy Daisuke. Kendo makes Iori fit. He has deadly aim and strength, while Takeru will just grab a bunch of snow and slam it on Daisuke's head using the fact he's taller than him.

On a side note, their partners reactions are amazing as well. Armadimon looks so happy and excited and so does Patamon, tho, they also looked shocked

Apparently in 2015, Matsui was on an NHK show called Switch Interview, where two people from different fields take turns being the “interviewer” and the “guest” as they learn about the other person’s trade. Matsui was paired with architect and designer Oki Sato, the head of nendo.

There’s a video of it on YouTube but it doesn’t have any audio and it’s looped and a bit jumbled, so the episode proper has kind of been scrubbed from the internet.

Matsui’s “office” in his apartment complex has a nice view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government buildings and Shinjuku Park Tower.

What was interesting to me were Matsui’s reference sheets. One of many which were stuck around his desk outlined whether characters used Android or iOS phones, no joke. Sato thought it was funny that Maehara in particular had a zebra-striped phone case.

These character models are found as an extra in one of the volumes too, but Matsui’s original papers have a lot of other scribbles and notes written on them, like screen tone numbers, or Shindou’s phone model (iPhone 5) and phone case design which happens to be in the likeness of a baseball:

For the record, Shindou’s baseball phone case is seen in chapters 50-51 of the manga, along with Sugino’s white phone case. And if you squint, you can tell the latter isn’t using an iPhone either.

The anime didn’t keep most of those little details, though Sugino’s phone still looks like it runs something vaguely similar to Android:

Back to the character model sheets, we actually get a cleaner look at one of them which happens to be the one containing all the kids sitting in the two rows at the back of the class prior to Ritsu’s transfer.

One of the interesting things about the reference sheets is that Matsui appeared to have scribbled down voice actors beside each of the kidsーmaybe he had voices in mind when he created them. Or maybe he just scribbled them down when they greenlit the anime. Other important characters are also listed on the side with VAs beside their names.

Woman in flashback: Ohara Sayaka (Likely referring to Aguri. This interview aired in early March 2015, right around the time volume 13 was released; the magazine serialization was running somewhere at chapter 129-130 [volume 15], which is the big reveal with Kayano, and the anime was only about seven episodes in, hence why she’s still listed as the woman in flashbacks.)

Karma: Miyano Mamoru (This is hilarious to me in hindsight because Miyano actually voiced Asano in the anime. Also, Matsui actually missed a kanji in Miyano’s name, but what he wrote can still be read the same way.)

Ryuuki (the leader of the delinquents who abducted Kayano and Kanzaki on the school trip) was also listed in the bottom right hand corner, but no VA was attached to him.

Lots of random information. To say nothing of the phones (long live Sugino and Sonokawa, the only Android users on that list), all the supplementary material Matsui’s put out about the students and other characters really shows how much thought he, and I’m sure a lot of other authors as well, put into their characters.

Maybe in some strange parallel universe, they got Kamina as Terasaka and Jotaro as Korosensei instead.
