The List/Die Liste/La liste/الليستة
I left Paris in Sept 2010 & moved to Munich. After 5 years there, I moved to beautiful Hamburg. The german language is often perceived by many people as harsh, violent. But I fell in love with it, you can play with words the way you want. So I started a list of german words still new to me, some specific to Hamburg… Then I decided to photograph each word and translate it. Voilà:
Week 1, Word 1
1. Rumpimmeln: Literally translated: around penis [vulg.] to poodle around [esp. Br.] [coll.] / Littéralement traduit: Autour Penis [vulg.] Glander, ne rien faire de ses journées.
