“i am offended that you didn’t just know that.” his words were playful as he gave her a small smile. “just dont make a big deal out of it, we dont need my cover being blown.” he joked once more.
with a nod of his head his smile grew, “thank you, that is very nice of you. i will do a little research and get back to you when i come visit with a few things i am looking for.” he explained to her. “i prefer looking through the older ones which are usually harder to find but i find that those are the best to use when baking. just adding in a little of your own secrets along the way.”
“oh- i really shouldn’t. i have snacked on these for the last hour.” he looked like he was battling a war in his heard with himself before giving in. “but fine, i cant so no to sweets, i never good.” he confessed as he moved to go grab the freshly baked cookies and bringing the back to her table before taking a seat. “what should we do? something cute? something spooky? something dead?” he asked
Aurelia laughed in response. “Your secret is safe with me your highness.” she said offering a subtle bow in his direction. Before uprighting herself with a mischievous grin.
Aurelia understood what Iris meant about old books, she had quite the collection of old classic, not that she got to read much of them anymore, her life was consumed by leafing through very new, very updated research textbooks, and journal articles. “Well luckily for you The Book Nook has a fantastic supplier in vintage books, I will make sure to put any that come through aside for you to browse before they go on they shelves.” she smiled in reply. “I have tasted your baking so the little added secrets are working wonders.” she beamed.
Her face was basically pleading him to make her do this alone she was ready to pay him for until he gave in and agreed to decorate with her. As he left to grab the freshly baked cookies, Aurelia looked around at how others were decorating, all she could see where stars, and little babies in mangers, some Christmas trees and a few Santa’s she wondered what it would take to convince Osiris to maybe decorate something less festive. So it was safe to say that she was incredibly shocked when upon his arrival the suggestions that he made were barely festive at all. Her eye’s shot him a look at his last suggestion. “Something Dead?” she inquired eager to understand his direction of thought.
