Really enjoying the scritches
I know Vax might be some people's favourite character and I understand the want for him to return fully, be alive. He is presumably suffering currently, and I would agree to release him from that torture.
My counter to bringing Vax back to life is we already live in a dnd world where hardly any PCs remain dead. If a character who is bound to death and the balance of life/death herself comes back to life 30+ years later then what was the point in any sacrifices from our main PCs? Where is the jeopardy in any encounter? Will all PCs have plot armour - I can sit back and know all it'll all be okay? They'll find a way to bring them back. The 'no one ever truly remains dead' trope just isn't as comforting as you think it is.
I would love to hear Liam's thoughts on this, because as Marisha was given the option to pursue Laudna potentially being saved I think Liam should be given the same. My gut tells me he's told Vax's story, and even though it didn't go the way he had originally intended its a great and powerful story.
I need them to stop saying sister and brother to each other.
Theres been so many comments about keeping Robbie as a main cast member at Critical Role.
I need to see Robbie play another character to see if he is truly main cast worthy, the bar is incredibly high to match the rest. Don't get me wrong he's a lovely guy and clearly a very talented voice actor. It's just if we're going to outnumber the women even more so than it is, I want it to be confident he can bring something else to the table? Dorian for me is a bit too much 1st PC material and has never really sparked my interest. What else can Robbie bring us?
This isn't Robbie hate before anyone implies it.
Jeez, watch him in Candela Obscura before posting something like this
I did watch him in Candela Obscura, but until you mentioned it I completely forgot he was even in it. We all have different tastes but CO was incredibly dull for me - even the regular cast couldn't shine it for me.
THE MIGHTY NEIN: Alone & Together
For @kermit-coded Happy Birthday!!!
Daggerheart confirmed new system for future main campaigns then.
I dont see myself being enthused by it - because youd think the narrative would be enough - but if it was then Candela would've been more successful but i think the system and the narrative need to pull viewers. Another example being Monsterhearts one-shot, narrative great, system lacking.
It's difficult when 5e is well established. We'll see how it goes though.

Characterisation regression.
I hate to think it but I genuinely think Beau was in such a good place at the end of C2. She had come to terms with a lot of her demons, she was more personable and confident in her abilities.
In Mighty Nein Reunited, Echoes of the Solstice and c3e111 - I feel like a lot of her character growth has regressed. Now, is this a conscious RP choice from Marisha because of the stress in Beau'slife, or simply the result of not playing a character every week. I feel like I'm seeing early C1 Beau and I'm not a fan. Are these character beats easier to pull from quickly when thrown into a chaotic RP situation, its possible. I genuinely don't know the answer, but I believe Beau is better than what's we've seen since campaign2 ended. Her conversation with Fjord was disappointing.
I havent laughed this much at CR in a looong time.
Sheer chaotic bliss.
Caduceus - Taliesin's greatest character of all time.

I'm so, so embarrassed watching these two. I need to stop, and look away because its just... awkward but not in an entertaining way. Please tell me this isn't what people who weren't gay felt about Beau and Yasha in C2 😆
I've finished What Doesn't Break, and it was a great read. Truly felt like Laudna and Delilah's voices were captured beautifully.
If you haven't read it yet and you've bought the kindle version, I would recommend getting the audio for that extra £3. After finishing the book I went back to some interesting chapters to actually hear them converse and it's really performed excellently.
Reading and hearing Laudna and Imogen's meeting is so incredibly important and just feel so lucky we got a little insight into their early friendship.
Thank you Cassandra Khaw and Critical Role.
