Honestly, Twitter and Tiktok are always a nightmare. As much as people mock it, tumblr typically has the most chill fan communities that are easy to have fun in.

Yeah my problem with those two platforms are is that

Twitter has real shitty people but you don't realize it until they get exposed and a lot of shadowvanilla artist on there did

And of course is toxic

And for tiktok I must say that is the only platform I have seen people getting jumped in the replys just for shipping shadowvanilla or like saying "and then they kiss" or something

I'm glad that tumblr is chill the people on here I meet seem to be cool and I have a lot moots on here as well

i just came back from deleting twitter after going through all the shadowvanilla discourse, and my god people cannot behave themselves and act like proper, self composed adults 💔 im not gonna speak further on the topics themselves bc i dont wanna get into a possible argument with anyone (though i do have very strong opinions on one specific controversy, but other than that, i do not support nico nor milkweed), but what really pissed me off is how big creators with a large following were promoting a toxic and extremely hateful environment within the community, getting so bad to the point where people are literally celebrating creators getting run off the app and condemned into banishment, while still continuing to fuel the fire in the aftermath

i've been observing these situations over the past few days, and its legit so painful seeing people with a large following basically acting as judge/jury/executioner,, i've witnessed some people making insensitive satirical posts or jokes to make fun of content thats already under fire, and others literally saying supporters of such content deserve death,, like WHAT????

absolutely baffled by how things on twitter are going on atm,, my entire tl was just everyone arguing and accusing eachother, and like.... is this really how we want our community to be? just a cesspool of hate and toxicity that drives away people who find comfort in the ship? like, no wonder why shadowvanilla shippers have such a bad reputation in the fandom, people just love to stir the pot and blowing things out of proportion when these issues could be resolved in a proper, mature and controlled manner

thank god tumblr is much more chill and supportive, i appreciate everyone here 🫶

and lesson of the day: please be nice and civilized to fellow creators, especially when people look up to you and can be influenced by your words,, handle serious topics maturely and for the love of god, do not start jumping people and instigating a witch hunt that ends up hurting other innocent people on the side 😭🙏

I checked butterteg’s Twt account, and saw he reblogged another account who posted the messages going back and forth with different crk artists on discord (will not be stating the creators, I do not want to spread misinfo.), and to say the least..

I’m so bothered by it. Some of these people I REALLY looked up to. This is so disappointing.
