Born to Robert and Katherine Hutton, a car dealership owner and an architect, Austin Lee Hutton grew up in Tonopah's Glenn Estates. His childhood.. to cut it short, was perfect. Growing up in the '90s, in the wake of Tim Burton movies, Nirvana & the reign of MTV while still being able to spend most of his time exploring the neighborhood & nearby woods.. his early days were the exact thing Hollywood was making movies about. The only interruption were the occasional trips to see his maternal grandparents in Austin, Texas - and yes, his parents named him after his mother's hometown.
Naturally athletic plus always the one full of energy, there was no sport Austin didn't play.. from hockey to baseball all the way to basketball. In the end, it was football that captured his heart.. and damn, was he good at it. It didn't take him long to become quarterback & the star of the high school team. With success came the ego.. it skyrocketed. Arrogant both on and off the court while as equally ambitious - if not more, he was well aware of just how great he was and he didn't care about anything except the game. Well, he did love to party.. throwing parties at his place was a standard practice after the game. Just as hooking up with random girls was.. yet there was the one who was always shinning the brightest - Blake Scott. The one who was the most beautiful, yet the most frustrating and confusing out of all of them. To say he understood his girlfriend would be a lie.. it was no wonder their fights & break ups & making ups were notorious. One day they were together, the second.. no, scratch that - during the lunch time they would manage to both break up & get back together.
Close to the end of their sophomore year, one of their friends threw a party - a rather typical high school party - loud music, lots of alcohol & drugs, people making out everywhere.. Blake was drunk & high as fuck and as always, she could barely function, while Austin was having beer after beer not even wanting to be around her in that state.. but it is always darkest before the dawn, no? Standing on the porch talking to some girl, it was impossible to miss out the blonde behind the wheel driving off.. Blake. That was not part of the deal.. it was Austin who was suppose to give her a ride or if they were fighting, some of their friends. What the hell was she doing? Not wasting a second, he drove off after her.. to this day Austin still wonders what would have happened if he hadn't. He would never be able to forget seeing her car driving off in the lake.. just as he would never be able to forget how blue those angelic features of hers were when he pulled her out of the water.
That night was the night that changed both of them.. both of them pulled their shit together. And boy, did it do wonders for not just their academic success & football, but for their relationship too. From a couple that was constantly on and off they become a couple who had eyes only for each other. No one else mattered.. it was only Blake he saw. And perhaps it'd always been like that, but he was simply too arrogant to understand it or even more, to accept it. But if you told them two years before that they'd get the roles of the ultimate high school sweethearts, they would have probably just laughed in your face. Yet they became just that.. the golden couple. And with Austin's focus primarily being on Blake & football, it was no wonder he was offered a sports scholarship from Stanford. And that is where their story ends.. perhaps some high school sweethearts get their happy end, but not the ones who dream big.
Stanford was entirely something different.. at first he was one of the stars, yet very soon became the star. Their was something about the way he saw everything happening on the field that would turn him pro, or at least so the head coach thought.. it was just a matter of time when he would get noticed by the Patriots or Cowboys. And despite his flings & affairs, he often wondered how would it be if she was by his side. Would the success be even sweeter? But the fate wanted him to have her by his side sooner than he thought.. it was that damn soccer she loved so much that brought her to Los Angeles - to him. It was only one hello that led them straight to his bedroom.. to become that golden couple once again - if for one night only.
Yet the phone call he got eight months later was one of the sweetest memories of his whole life.. and equally as frightening. Blake was pregnant - with his child.. pushing away the anger of not being told sooner, there was no question he wouldn't be there for both Blake and his daughter.. Peyton. It was she who saved him from himself and the despair he could have easily fallen into. See, during the last game of the season, Austin got badly injured.. there was no game for him, there was no career for him anymore. If it weren't for Peyton, Austin is certain he would have spiraled into the pit of depression drinking away his broken dreams. But because of his Goldilocks, as he called her, Austin pushed away his pain and focused on college, majoring in civil engineering the next year.
He thought about moving to Boston to be close to both of them, but all three of them had their own lives.. so he stayed in Los Angeles quickly getting a well-paid job in one of the best construction companies in the state. With the money he was making and his looks, they young CEO quickly became one of the most eligible bachelors in the city.. it did take quite a while for him to be taken off the market, but it did happen. He got engaged when he was 34, but due to his career and the fact that he would always put Peyton first, they never managed to walk down the aisle.. but as Blake & Peyton moved back to Tonopah Valley, Austin wondered whether should he do the same. Was it enough for both of him and Peyton to travel so much to see each other when he could quite easily be every day with his daughter? For her to be able to run between his and Blake's home? For him to be able to protect her? Perhaps it was a bit too late, but better now than never.
Buying a house in Glenn Estates years before, all Austin needed to take with him was his guitar case.. everything else he needed was already in Tonopah. Besides his company's headquarters in Los Angeles and a branch in New York, another branch of his construction company was opened in Tonopah Valley months before his arrival.. The Enterprise took care of that. Funny, wasn't it? He had always known of the war between the Sons of Silence and Los Santos, but that path was not his to be taken. Yet look at him now.. belonging to the Enterprise. Three years ago - on the verge of his success as his company built the second tallest building in New York - Central Park Tower - he was approached by the Advisor. And how wouldn't he be? A successful multi-millionaire CEO of his own construction company, nothing was standing in his way - literally, only the sky was limit. And the Enterprise.. well, they needed someone just like him to help them build their empire even more. And wasn't precisely that Austin's job? The Enterprise's board member was now more than ready to reshape the look of his hometown as well - it was for the best, after all. And there was nothing really standing in his way.. except of his high school sweetheart and a mother of his child standing on the other side.
