My Mom: Americans can’t be as bad as the English.
My Chilean Scottish Arse:
Every time he spoke in public this year I thought “this is it, there’s no way even hardcore conservatives could agree with what this cartoon character just had to say, he is going to lose by some world record landslide and we have nothing to worry about”
Everyone who voted third party is as much to blame as everyone who voted for him directly. You were warned over and over and over that your “protest vote” would hand the country over to the “grab em by the pussy” and “let’s build a giant wall” guy.
Though I’ve specifically picked out Michigan as a major swing state, Johnson has overall performed much better than Stein. If anything, third party voters made Trump’s margins less favorable.
This one requires no additional context but “eat me, my vote wouldn’t have done shit.”
For the most part I’m just reblogging these functionally identical goddamn posts with the images rather than a lot of commentary, but you know what? I’m sick of this. Stop blaming everything on third party voters in spite of the margins, in spite of the demographics, in spite of the ideology, in spite of anything based in fact. Spouting tired and largely nonsensical cliches instead of actually analyzing why the Democrats got creamed serves no purpose but to massage your ego at the expense of others who are just as worried about the future. For the love of god.
this sounds like shit and it’s only a gif
Several crushed as stampede to speak to Scotland in the union stall in Dundee city centre reaches devastating breaking point.
This reminds me of the overwhelming crowds having a Union Day in George Square last September;
Absolutely hoaching.
Some day I hope to achieve the same level of self confidence as the unionists.
There’s being self-confident and then there’s blind arrogance.
Arrogance is the path to disappointment.
The “No More Referendum” sign is funny; no more democratic votes on policies? No referendum in response to the failing of the Unionist side of the debate to maintain British membership of the European Union? Brexit demands that Scotland gets to have its say once more, less we drag it unwillingly into our own damned pit the UK as dug itself.
Underworld - Born Slippy
And this is when David Owen delivers the greatest line that literally sends me to the floor laughing:
“Look, matey, I don’t care about the bleeding policies. This party is no more. It is cease to be. It is an-ex party.”
Imagine being this sensitive.
