btw Aspergers is an outdated term!! it's referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD now. Hans Asperger the founder was a nazi scientist who experimented on children. i am autistic btw!!!

So, one of my friends randomly asked me if Remus had a good relationship with the others, the answer is: Yes and no

Remus has aspergers which means one of the symptoms of aspergers is the lack of wanting to build a good relationship with people and being very anti-social and he can't build a good relationship with someone, because of his interests and lack of personal boundaries for others.

Here are all the relationships Remus has with the others and explaining how they work:

Roman: Remus can't really see Roman as a friend or even as a close relative, since the split he hasn't been able build their relationship up again and doesn't talk to Roman that much, since they both suffer from autism.

Virgil: He can call Virgil a friend, but ever since Virgil left the dark sides he can't help but see Virgil as a trader and lashes out at him a lot, Virgil is trying to fix their relationship but it is very hard with Remus constantly stating random rude comments whenever he comes near him.

Patton: he can say that Patton is one of his caregivers and nothing else, Patton can understand Remus and take care of him since Roman also has autism. Patton knows what to do when Remus or Roman is having a meltdown and also helps them with speaking since they both struggle.

Logan: He can see Logan as a relative and more of a brother figure to him, although like with Roman they don't talk much unless they talk about stuff they're both interested in. Remus can say that Logan is more of a brother to him than Roman, but can't really say anything else than that.

Deceit: He can say that deceit is his mother and main caregiver, since deceit had practically raised him since the split and deceit is the only other one beside Patton who can touch and cuddle him, he doesn't really like being touched that much.

First post, headcannons

He has aspergers, which is a type of autism if you don't know it, look it up.

He repeats an action over and over again, like swinging his mace in the air or repeatedly saying the same words over and over again, which he can't really help

Even though deceit is his caretaker, he doesn't have an interest in making friends or even socializing with anyone, it is very hard for him to keep a steady relationship with people

Remus tends to wonder off a lot, so deceit had to clip a tracking device to his clothing because he went missing so often

The other sides don't know until later on, when Remus keeps repeatedly swinging his mace in the living room and confront deceit about it

He doesn't have empathy for others, but is trying and working hard

He can't really understand emotions well, so when he is confronted with any news that isn't personal to him then he won't really react.

Remus doesn't really change his expression while talking with others, which means he doesn't look very expressive.

When he is very overwhelmed he will flap his hands and/or bang his head against any surface, he will also make very weird noises while he's in a meltdown.

He always is fidgeting or moving, repeating hand movements a lot because he really can't help staying still, since he is autistic

Sometimes he talks to fast and no one can really understand him, sometimes he repeats a word over and over again.

He doesn't really respect personal boundaries, because he doesn't understand why people have them, so when he talks to someone he stands too close or talks about something they don't want to hear

He has an interest in weird topics and has a lot of intrusive thoughts about killers, dirty thoughts, etc.

He sometimes speaks too loudly in a high pitch tone and/or struggles on words, because he wither doesn't know how to say them or it's just his brain doesn't process it right away.
