obviously he is the ultimate lucky student: his luck will do whatever is unlikely OR best for him in that moment, either one would be survival as only 1/6 chance

deep insecurity and hating his ultimate talent = testing it to the limit, he literally says what sort of talent would I have if I can’t at least do this

Wants to clear the final dead room the best way possible, very smart so knows this may get him a greater reward, he wants to prove himself as well as finding the truth for the students to be useful

Another way he could become a ‘stepping stone for hope’ for the students is by dying as then they would be given food & let out of strawberry house + hope through despair is created in a class trial

hates himself/ thinks he’s worthless obviously suicidal to some extent

His talent means that he is constantly in near-death scenarios, could catastrophically die at any time and has been in danger countless times, so is not so scared

Always felt like an outsider and been the one to do what no one else will (bombing the gym, raising Monaca, exposing traitor), his only place in a group is the one that takes action

He has a deadly disease and is in a killing game, his lifespan is not exactly long

Obviously only happened as he had not learnt the truth yet, this is before he becomes dismissive and still worships the other students, his luck works not just to let him survive but to find out the truth/ good luck to survive followed by bad luck to learn that himself is what he hates most (remnant of despair) as well as his admired ultimates.

Being genuinely insane and also deprived of food for some time by this point probably didn’t help rational decision making

anyway I was just thinking about this and I just think it was such an amazing writing decision nagitos character is just so well written and PLEASE feel free to correct/disagree w me on some of these points
