A new autohero designed for the Nissan S-Cargo...such a weird and goofy little thing yet so cool.  Definitely and interesting design reach for Nissan and really cool that the decided to experiment with something like this.

The Mitsubishi 3000GT (aka: The Fat Whale)

So the 3000GT was a mess of technology crammed into one car.  Fast as shit…when it worked.  Nicknamed the Fat Whale for the amount of features and amenities offered brought a heavy vehicle.  It sported active spoilers (which self adjusted to the needs of the driver) along with many other features.

As you can tell, I had a lot of fun coming up with an initial design to start from.  The concept base is heavily inspired by Bobby Chiu’s Whale Boy drawing and I want this design to also be an homage to that piece because of how much enjoyment that drawing has given me.

The final design will be drastically different but you have to start somewhere :)

The Infamous AE86...

There were a lot of iterations on this design, still nothing final.  There’s big shoes to fill with this design given the history of this little Sprinter.

A lot of designs started with some sort of strong homage to Keiichi Tsuchiya.  How do you present DK or D-OG in one single character?

Volkswagen Vanagon Hero Concept Sketch.

So as you can tell, a lot of inspiration came from the Big Lebowski in this design.  The Vanagon is the embodiment of “the dude”…

This one is going to be a tough one to figure out a proper personality

Toyota MR2 Spyder (aka Snap).

This idea popped into my head one day when I woke up.  I’m not very knowledgeable about the MR2 history so I’ll need to do more reading.  

The name Snap for this hero comes from the Spyder’s engine and drivetrain configuration.  Being a mid engine rear wheel drive car would give this guy a characteristic of producing “snap-over steering”.

Woo! Here’s the latest iteration of Miata Man, now in color! He portrays the feeling of driving a roadster. He rocks the retro Mazda logo on his racing suit, red racing gloves and a Mazda Laguna Seca blue scarf, which all of them help him go faster.
