Phantom of the Opera deserves more credit for its accurate depiction of large production rehearsals. Every detail down to the last ensemble member is hilariously perfect.
You know the best part about Les Misérables?
You can say literally as much or as little of the title as you want and it's still acceptable.
Maria: I drew a heart in Alexander's notebook.
Eliza: Aww, that's so cute! I'm going to color it in.....Oops, my hand slipped! Now it just looks like a circle! I guess I'll have to draw him another one to make up for it.
Maria: .....
Eliza: :)
Alexander: .....
Alexander: Please stop drawing in my notebook.
Raoul: And what is it that I'm meant to have sent?
Me: *Sentten
So is Erik narrating his own notes just done for the benefit of the audience and soundtrack listeners, or does the ominous phantom voice canonically just start reading from the walls every time someone opens a note? Because as a socially awkward person myself I can confirm that before I send something I absolutely read over it enough times that I could easily recite it from memory, and I am also anxious enough about the recipient's reaction that I would totally hide in the walls to watch them open it if that were an option, so really I could see this going either way.
Come From Away makes me feel personally attacked because they say things like, "no shampoo for three days" and "I haven't changed my clothes in 39 hours" like they are the kind of completely unfathomable things that only happen in times of crisis and it just makes me want take another look at my life choices.
Erik: Go now, be free, but swear one thing to me: he will never, ever know.
Christine: Why the f*ck would I tell him in the first place?
"'life may be fleeting' was not an invitation to f*cking die!"
Erik (LND)
Erik: *coming in through Christine's balcony*
Erik: *trips on the curtains*
Christine: This wouldn't happen if you just used the door like a normal person.
