Top 5 Clubs Iâve Visited
Usually when I travel I like to check out the nightlife of wherever Iâm going; whether itâs the super-clubs or the small watering holes, if they play good music Iâm there, so here are five nightclubs that are currently on my top 5:
1. Club Space - Miami, FL.
When the Guvernment closed in Toronto, I was quite heart broken and no nightclub has been able to wow me quite like the Guv, until I went to Club Space. The place is large with three rooms that can easily fit about 1,500 people each. Entering the club is a spectacle in its own right, as they have girls dressed in carnival attire waving the Club Space flags around the entire block. Why is it special? The party in there never stops. Opens at around 10PM and the party usually ends at 12PM the following day, the terrace is world famous for hosting a number of open-to-close sets by high profile DJs. The staff is super friendly and the washrooms are kept in tip top shape.
2. Stereo - Montreal, QC.
Although itâs a little past itâs glory days, this place holds a special place in every Canadian party goerâs life. Â The wooden floors, custom made sound system (which requires no ear plugs to enjoy), massive disco ball, and impeccable audio and visual set up this place gets it right. There are absolutely no DJâs that donât like playing there, the gay friendly atmosphere attracts more forward thinking crowds making it a pleasant space to spend a night(or entire weekend inside).
3. Wet Republic - Las Vegas, NV.
Nightclubs are great, but sometimes itâs better to be outside. Wet Republic in âVegas is large and spacious allowing a couple of thousand people to converge and enjoy the sun. You havenât done Las Vegas until youâve had vodka for breakfast, gone to Wet Republic and leaving with one of your flip flops missing. Be sure to seal your chewing gum before going in, security is very tight.
4. The Electric Pickle, Miami, FL.
This place is magic. At first glance, it doesnât look like much, but when you upstairs youâve entered disco heaven. Pay the extra entrance fee to get access to up stairs because thatâs where the partyâs at. The disco ball is well programmed with lights in the circumference which react to the music thatâs being played. If you want a premiere house, techno and disco experience, Electric Pickle is among the finest establishments in Miami.Â
5. The Hoxton, Toronto, ON.
This place is the definition of âITâS LIT FAM,â but on the real, when going there during low key nights itâs a very pleasant atmosphere. This venue has booked some of the biggest artists in hip hop, techno, house music, trance, trap, and pretty much everything else in between. The PK Sound speakers that were installed in there a couple of years ago give the room a nice boost as well. Have you been to any of these? Feel free to leave a comment and tell me about some of the clubs you enjoy going to.
