âPerfect, I have already opened the tab and let the bartender know where he should send up when we can no longer walk,â Nesta grinned. âThereâs nothing better than drinking away your problems.â While it was a sad thing to even consider, she truly wanted to forget all about the mess she was in at least for one night.
âYou totally planned this ahead, didnât you?â Avalon realized, chucking lightly. âI mean Iâd argue that tending to dragons is better but sure, whatever you say,â she mentioned, the corners of her lips twitching upwards in amusement. âLetâs get this night started than, shall we? What are we shot-ing first?â
michaelthcrneâ:
Michael nodded, âIt did. Thank you. I know⊠I know this is hard for you. I really appreciate you doing it.â
His words were so nice it made her want to scream. âYou donâtâ you donât have to do that you know,â Ava couldnât help but say. âI ruined your life. Doing this is literally the bare minimum I owe you.â
nesta-gâ:
âI know you have your own problems so I appreciate it nevertheless,â she patted Ava on her hand. âI fucked up. Multiple times. And now⊠Now I have to pretend like everything is fine even though my heart was shattered into billion pieces. So⊠Want to get drunk?â
âWe all do. Thatâs life,â she shrugged back. Honestly helping out her best friend sounded worlds better than dealing with any of her own problems so she welcomed the distraction. âOoh if that doesnât sound familiar,â Avalon sympathized. At Nestaâs suggestion she let out a soft laugh, âI feel like itâs been a while since we got properly shit-faced together. Count me in.â
nesta-gâ:
âThanks for meeting me out of the blue, I could really use some company,â Nesta smiled and greeted her friend.
@avalcnmulciberâ
âYou know Iâd go through hell and high water if you needed me to, right?â Avalon told the other with a tone that almost sounded aggressive. There was just very few people she cared for but when she cared for them, it was very strongly. âWhatâs the matter?â
michaelthcrneâ:
Michael didnât know how he felt when he saw them kiss. It was so different and yet so familiar at the same time. Fuzzy memories were becoming clearing and changing. He hadnât known how this would work but now he did. Then he saw her turn and the memory he was watching became a little fuzzy too. He wanted to know what happened next but he wouldnât force her, âOkay, sure. Are you gonna be okay?â He asked.Â
âIâll be just fine,â she insisted. Emotions. What did people do with them? All they did was cause problems. Avalon was having a hard time looking at him, but eventually she managed. âI hope some of these helped... with uh, you regaining your memory and all,â she finally said.
michaelthcrneâ:
âItâs nothing bad I think,â Michael watched his counterpart say after taking her hands. He wondered what that felt like. He couldnât remember what that felt like or at least he wasnât sure if he remembered, âI like you, a lot. More than a friend like. And I know that thereâs family stuff and you have your reasons and me saying this could ruin us being friends but if I donât I know Iâll regret it,â The teenager paused and looked at her in anticipation and a little fear, âPlease say something.â
Rewatching the scene unfold was harder than she expected it to be. When suddenly a silence had fallen in between their mirror images, Avaâs heart jumped to her throat. She knew what came next. Instead of saying something back to Michael, the younger Avalon had simply closed the gap in between them with a nearly desperate kiss. When the image of Avalon seemed to realize what she had done she pulled away and her face seemed to go pale. Her parents would kill her. âYou know whatâ maybe we should wrap this up for today,â Ava finally said, looking away from the memory and trying not to let it get to her like it was. âIâm feeling kind of tired.â
fredsweasleyiiâ:
âDo you ever want kids?â Fred asked.
âDo scaly fire breathing ones count? Because those kids I will never get tired of,â Ava replied, half-joking.
nesta-gâ:
âThanks, Ava, youâre the best,â she grinned at her friend. âWe should some drinks, my treat.â
âOf course,â Ava said, deciding to try out a hug, since it felt appropriate and she wanted to do better when it came to showing affection. âYou deserve nothing but the best.â
fredsweasleyiiâ:
âRoxanne Avalon, thatâs cute,â Fred replied with a slight laugh. âBut sorry to disappoint, I think Iâm far from having a child.â
âIt is pretty damn cute, isnât it?â she chuckled. âOh thatâs fine. Iâm much better with dragon children than I am with human ones. So... I donât think Iâm ready to be an auntie or anything.â
jo-ravencroftâ:
âIâm sure itâll be entertaining in multiple ways,â she muses. âHow was the sanctuary in Romania? Iâve worked with that lot a couple of time but not enough to get a feel of how they handle things.
âTheyâre a great bunch,â Ava admitted. She missed them really. And thinking back to it now she was realizing just how much she did. âIf you ever get stationed there youâll have a great time. Foodâs great too.â
adelinexmulciberâ:
Adeline thought about lying but her sister knew her better and the tears were obvious, âWes uh⊠wrote me a letter. Thinks we should end things,â She sniffed, holding the letter out to her, âHe thought that um⊠I just wouldnât ever be finished here and maybe when he comes back we can talk but for now he doesnât think we should write or talk anymore.â
âOh Addy, Iâm sorry,â she replied softly. Ava wasnât great with showing her affection but she did feel for her sister. When the letter was held out to her she took it, skimming over it as Adeline spoke. âThatâs a lot and I hate to be that person but... it might be best for you both. You wanted him to be safe from all this did you not? Being a Mulciber is a curse,â Avalon sighed sadly. âI am sorry though. I know how much you two cared about one another. Maybe someday you can write or talk again?â
michaelthcrneâ:
âIt wasnât just replacing memories,â Michael said and then shrugged, âNothing can be done about it now,â He wasnât sure if he had forgiven her and he didnât know how much an apology could do. This is what showing their memories was for. He needed to remember his real life and she needed to undo the damage as much as possible, âYes,â He said, âI want to see it all, good and bad,â He said. After a moment, the memory shifted. They were a year or two older and in Hogsmeade. There was snow on the ground and Christmas decorations were being put up. They definitely seemed closer than they had been in earlier memories. His younger self seemed nervous and it was showing, âAva I need to tell you something,â His mini-me said.Â
Avalon nodded as the image shifted. âTell me something? Whatâs up? You sound off,â the younger brunette observed, following the young Michael to a secluded place on the castleâs grounds. Nobody could see them from the castle windows thanks to the shelter from a tree and Michael took Avaâs hands into his. âYouâre sort of freaking me out,â past Ava chuckled briefly. âWhatâs going on?â

jo-ravencroftâ:
âSay no more.â Working with dragons in any capacity isnât the most ideal job a parent would want for their kid. Jo remembers the day exactly when she told her muggle parents sheâd be chasing dragons for a living. âIâll see if I can bring you along when I make my next rounds, nothing too crazy to start you back up again.â She stopped to think when the documentary was coming out. âI think itâs over the weekend. Dragon King is what itâs called. Iâm not looking forward to all the oblivious people who are gonna rush into sanctuaries hoping to meet these people.â
âYouâre a legend, thanks Jo,â she found herself smiling back. Ava didnât smile much, at least not anymore. âCanât say Iâve heard of it before just now, but Iâll have to give it a watch. Out of curiosity but also as research. I canât promise I wonât try to find them to give them a piece of my mind â or worse â afterwards.â
fredsweasleyiiâ:
âI think Roxanne might have claimed my first baby girl name, but will you be satisfied with a middle name?â
âI guess her getting dibs makes sense, being your sister and all,â Ava playfully pretended to struggle to agree to the terms, but in reality she couldnât blame him. âAvalon could make for a good middle name. Iâll take it.â
