177. Aang and Katara waited until their wedding night to have sex.
When it came time for the newly wedded couple to make love, Aang was shy and very nervous, with it being the coupleâs wedding night and all and the fact Katara was about to see him naked for the first time. Katara calmed him down by admitting she was nervous as well, but knew the night would be amazing because she was with him and knew he loved her. She then told him how much she loved him. Then they began to kiss and we all know what happened next.

176. Zuko was hanging out at the Royal pond one day when a turtle duck hatched from an egg nearby. The first thing it saw was the Fire Lord himself, so it imprinted on him. Zuko had a baby turtle duck following him around for a few weeks. Mai thought it was hilarious. Every now and then, the turtle duck comes back to visit Zuko.

175. Because there is so much of the body to cover, the Air Nomad masters ritualistically have their tattoos done by three other Air Nomads.
When an Air Nomad Avatar masters air, three representatives from the Earth Kingdom, Water Tribes, and Fire Nation are chosen to tattoo the Avatar, to symbolize balance and peace between the four elements and the world.

174. After the first air temple got attacked by the fire nation, the others sent out groups of air benders into the Earth kingdom in case they got attacked too. There are now secret air bending colonies within the earth kingdom.
Aang finds them after he defeats the fire lord and teaches the younger generations about air nomad culture as parts of it had been lost due to the need for survival coming before cultural preservation.

171. Aang and Katara got married at the Sounthern Air Temple at 20/18. The wedding was a combination of Air Nomad and Water Tribe traditions; though Aang had to borrow from Air Nomad festivals since his people didnât really do weddings or marriage.
The food was mostly vegetarian meals, but a few that combined meat and veggies together; Air Nomad colours were mixed with Water Tribe; traditonal Air Nomad music was played during the ceremony, but Water Tribe music played during the reception.
As for the wedding night, Kataang didnât have sex until the following night. This was an old Southern tradition before arranged marriages stopped being a thing in the south - the bride and groom donât have sex right away. They spend their first night getting to know each other.
Aang knew about this tradition from before he went into the ice and since he and Katara hadnât been able to see much of each other in the months leading to the wedding he thought it was a good idea to have a night dedicated to talking before they had sex.

170. Sukka got married at 19 and decided to wait until they were a little older to have kids.
However they couldnât get pregnant and decided to adopt. They ended up becoming the parents of a non-bending Fire Nation girl who ended up being one of Makoâs and Bolinâs many relatives.

169. Zuko and Kiyi developed a wonderful relationship; Iroh trained her when she decovered her firebending, but Zukoâs the one who took her to visit the Sun Warriors and learn from the masters when she was old enough. They found Druk together.

168. The Gaang had a huge impact on educational systems around the world
â A few years after Republic City was founded Sokka, Teo and the Mechanist, and Satoru founded the Republic City School of Science and Technology, where Sokka gave lectures about all kinds of stuff before he was appointed to the RC council.
â Aang made corrected the history books from the Fire Nation and made sure the lower ring of Ba Sing Se had enough schools for future generations.
â Toph invented and brail-alphabet based on those communications which many schools adobted and made easily accessible.
â Katara founded The Southern School of Waterbending, where students learned to heal and fight side-by-side, regardless of gender. The school has two branches - one up north, the other in Republic City where Katara taught when she and Aang moved there.
â Suki, Ty Lee, and Mai founded the Non-Bendersâ Academy of Self Defense - their classes include, but arenât limited to, knife and sword training, chi blocking, and hand-to-hand combat. Sokka and Zuko sometimes give sword demonstrations and the schoolâs biggest investor is Piandao,who agrees to train only those Sokka thinks are worthy.
â Zuko, with a little help from Ikem and Ursa, founded The Republic City School of Performing Arts, where Kiyi majored in costuming and puppets. Every year Zuko attends, at the very least, one performance, often dragging Mai and their friends with him. The Gaang also re-wrote The Boy in the Iceberg to make it more accurate; the play is now required reading in most history and drama classes (students often fight over who gets to be Zuko).

167. Toph knew that Mako still had feelings for Korra, but kept it to herself. She could feel it through the earth. She knew a firebender who felt very similarly towards a water bender, but never spoke of it out of a misguided sense of duty.

166. The people of the Earth Kingdom used mostly poltices and soups/teas to combat illnesses, while the Fire Nation was known for their herbs, healing oils, and steam treatments; the Air Nomads almost never got sick besides a cold, but they made wonderful juices/smoothies and soups that took care of any sickness fairly quickly.

165. After Pakku agreed to train Katara, she didnât go to another healing lesson her entire time up north, wanting to put all her focus into combat waterbending.
However, once the war was over Katara returned to the North Pole for a few months to continue her healing education. Eventually, she attended Ba Sing Se University to study the medical techniques of all the nations.
