"I can’t see, so he guides me. Whenever I make a sound, he will come running. He reads to me. He cooks for me. And he got the second highest ranking in his 6th grade class."

Watch: ’The Daily Show’ absolutely nailed what it’s like to be a woman on campus today
James Madison University joined the ever-growing list of U.S. colleges that have grossly mishandled sexual assault and rape cases last week when a young woman claimed that the school punished the three men who assaulted her by expelling them — after graduation.
Jon Stewart echoed the perplexed outrage of many on The Daily Show last night when he asked, “Wait a minute, ‘expelled upon graduation?’ Isn’t that… graduation? … What the fuck? … Clearly, universities are not making their campuses safe for women.”

"I grew up in the Bahamas. When I was young, I worked in a hotel where all the old stars used to come. I served Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Yul Brenner… you name it. One time I brought Lee Marvin room service, and he tipped me with a pair of 14 carat gold cufflinks."

Jade: “One day I asked Emma Portner if she’d ever put on a show. She said that she might consider it when she’s older. I asked her why and she said that she was too young. I told her that from the moment I met her, she inspired me in ways that older dancers and choreographers could not. Because she is my age. And I see how brilliant she is and how far she has already come with so many more years to go. She has shown me that age is not always an indication of readiness and that if we want something, we should go for it. I told her all of this. And now we are putting on a show together. Everyone involved is under the age of 20 and are some of the most talented artists of our generation. It would be incredible if everyone I know and love is able to come see what we have worked so hard to create. And to see unfamiliar faces in the audience that also share a love for the arts. This is us being brave. Please come and support, it would mean everything to Emma and I”
God I'm pretty much in love with Wendy Whelan.
EMPTIED GESTURES BY HEATHER HANSEN
LA, New Orleans-based Artist Heather Hansen (tumblr) - "Emptying Gestures is an experiment in kinetic drawing. In this series, I am searching for ways to download my movement directly onto paper, emptying gestures from one form to another and creating something new in the process."

Still amazing. My brother made me watch a recording of this ballet like crazy a few years ago. I love the finale, but this part was just amazing. Gillian Murphy is just brilliant.
It's just not natural.
