Nish Kumar, NZ International Comedy Gala 2016
Hermione: They're everywhere. All the time. Ginny's all perky and Luna does this thing where she's helpful and considerate. They share food, and they say things, and they move things, and they breathe. Ugh, they're like, happy.
Pansy: Kick them out.
Hermione: I can't kick them out, they just moved in. I asked them to move in.
Pansy: So what, you're just going to repress everything in some deep, dark, twisted place until one day you snap and you kill them?
Hermione: Yep.
Pansy: This. This is why we are friends.
Motherfucking girl power.
Draco: Of course I know how to please a woman ;)
Hermione: Then you must know how to leave.
Tamagotchi m!x Coming in July
Back in early April Bandai Japan filed a trademark for Tamagotchi m!x (pronounced “mix”), which was picked up on by an automated trademark bot on Twitter, and quickly spread among hardcore Tamagotchi fans. Official announcements of the new toyline followed in May and June. The Tamagotchi m!x virtual pet will launch on July 16th, 2016.
The main feature of the m!x is that when two Tamagotchi get married, the resulting offspring now inherits the visual traits of its parents. The offspring resembles a fusion of its parents, not unlike the latest Digimon’s App Fusions. Tamagotchi characters on the m!x can inherit traits from their parents from as far back as 20 generations, resulting in many unique combinations of characters with different visual traits.
According to a Bandai press release on the m!x, it incorporates a 128x128 color dot matrix screen, 32 bit RISC microcomputer for its CPU, and is targeted at elementary school girls. (Like Digimon’s Appli Drive, the toy is listed as suitable for ages 6 and up.) Mysteriously, Bandai opted not to assign an MSRP to the new product. The m!x is instead being sold at an “open price,” meaning the price is being left up to the individual retailers.

↳ get to know me: favorite female characters → the ghibli girls “Many of my movies have strong female leads – brave, self-sufficient girls that don’t think twice about fighting for what they believe in with all their heart. They’ll need a friend, or a supporter, but never a savior. Any woman is just as capable of being a hero as any man.” (– Hayao Miyazaki)
Dear Zelda fans,The new Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Wii U, has finally been presented at E3. The theme for this new title is “rethinking the conventions of the Zelda series”. Breaking from tradition, the player has the freedom to go wherever they wish to go, to do whatever they wish to do, in a vast open world. This is a whole new, unprecedented game in the history of Zelda.
In the Nintendo booth at E3, we arranged statues of characters from the game in diorama-like settings, borrowed from the game. We wanted to entertain visitors and help them experience the world of the new Zelda game. The picture here shows Mr Miyamoto and I bravely challenging an in-game monster called a Bokoblin. I know we are acting a bit silly for our age, but I hope this gives you a bit of a laugh…
Don’t stare at it…the glow is deadly to the eyes.
Mushishi print I’ll have at AX!

Relatable Everyday Ghibli Moments
Ah, see in the version I grew up with, Muska says “I grow tired of your incredible stupidity.”
I know that the Disney version supposedly stuck to the original script more, apart from the stupid additional banter between the pirates, but I’m biased - I think the 86 version’s line is much more insulting. :B
I grew up with the 80′s Streamline dub where he says “I’ve had enough of your incredible stupidity”. In the Disney version he says “I’ve really had enough of your incredible stupidity”. But in the Japanese version, he actually says “I grow tired of your stupid face”. There’s a lot of changes, especially ones that Disney have made, in order to make Laputa more PC and west friendly. For example, the moment right after the above quote, in the Streamline dub Mushka shouts “Now you die” and in the original Japanese version he shouts “Die!”, but in the Disney version… he says “Goodbye”. Certainly doesn’t have the same menace in the Disney version. When Pazu falls through the roof and Sheeta asks him if he is okay, in the Disney version Pazu replies “If my head were any harder you could use it as a canon ball”, but in the original Japanese version, he actually replies “My head’s harder than my boss’s fists.”
