El estrés se ha ido y eh encontrado el espacio perfecto para dar lo mejor de mí.

Warm light is the best study’s vibe ever

I’m feeling pretty relaxed lately, with lots to do tho. Maybe having my vitamin is working pretty well. Anyway spending my time to study in the lab is one of the best things I have in the meantime during “Carnaval” in Mexico.
Happy studies✨📔
No sé cómo le hacen algunas personas para ser eficientes durante la noche. Yo termino una tarea a las 23:00 y con la misma me voy a dormir… en fin, mejor continúo antes de que Morfeo me haga dejar todo para mañana.
Felices estudios 📒🖥️

Oh look, here is the female #Diadasia rinconis. You can see that the branched pollen collecting hairs on this specimen have a few stray cactus pollen balls stuck in there. Such lovely bees really. Collected by Don Harvey.
Giant green pill millipede, Zoosphaerium neptunus, Sphaerotheriida
Found only in Madagascar, this species is the largest pill millipede in the world, sometimes reaching almost 4 inches in length. Although superficially resembling pill bug isopods (aka roly polies), they are not related.

Deceased insects infected with entomopathogenic fungus, Ecuador.
An entomopathogenic fungus is a fungus that can act as a parasite of insects and kills or seriously disables them. Although Cordyceps is the most well-known, that’s only one genus.
Fungal spores land on the exoskeleton of the insect, and under the right conditions (usually very high humidity), will germinate and colonize the insect’s cuticle, moving through the layers of tissue and eventually making their way inside the body cavity. After death, the fungus grows out of the body to release spores back into the environment. It’s not uncommon for the fungus to take control of the insect’s brain and cause it to move to a high location (end of a branch, etc.) before it dies for optimal spore dispersal.

what's the fuzziest bee?
Teddy bear bees, accurately named.
Aren’t these just male carpenter bees?
I meant actual teddy bear bees from Australia: Amegilla asaropoda and Amegilla bombiformis. They’re not in the same genus as carpenter bees (Xylocopa)
Scorp and scorplings! Newborn scorpions ride on their mother’s back until they grow a hard exoskeleton on their first molt.
