Last week’s Farmland Friday blog, “Why Farmers Feel Trapped,” looked at something most of us never see when we walk through the grocery store.

Farmers pay their expenses long before they know what the harvest will bring. They face weather, debt, and unpredictable markets while other people often control both their costs and selling prices.

That is not freedom, and it is not a lack of hard work. It is a system asking farmers to carry nearly all the risk without giving them enough control.

Protecting our food means protecting our farmers too.

We can reach almost anyone in seconds. We have more information than we could ever read and more ways to communicate than any generation before us.

Why, then, are so many people feeling disconnected?

Health has been separated from food. Food has been separated from farming. Symptoms are separated from the whole body. People are separated by labels, politics, and carefully managed online groups.

When we cannot connect the pieces, we are easier to confuse. When people stop talking directly to one another, they begin believing they are standing alone.

WE THE PEOPLE cannot afford to lose our connection with each other. We need honest conversations. We need to compare notes. We need to protect our families, communities, health, food, and freedom together.

We opened an organic soup/salad store in NJ in 2017. We stood up against local and state politics—“mandates are not laws”—and we won—or did we?

We started Freedom Loving Patriots in 2020 right after the beginning of Covid. We stood up to the evil ones. We knew it was a hoax – another form of control that you don’t believe! We had many patriots that flapped their lips but went home and did nothing. They were too busy planning their next vacation or working at jobs that they knew were corrupt! They needed the money to support their families. Oh, really? Are you still saying that? I was never a fan of AI – but you need to bone up on where that is headed. Nope, I’m not a fan and never will be. You’ll find out why if you continue to stay tuned to my social media pages.

Next, we purchased a farm – all indoors and organic – aquaponics – raising tilapia and veggies. We even tried hemp and were successful. Why did we fail? Lack of interest. Everyone wanted a paycheck. Everyone except us that is. That's a longer story that I won’t get into today, but I will in the coming days and weeks.

We are being systematically killed and the majority of people are still not paying attention. Well, you’d better start or you are going to find yourself in a big pile of poop with no way out – nothing to eat – no place to go.
