Thanks @akindofmagictoo ! You've already read Runaways so all the spoilers are ahead. I'm answering these as sort of an epilogue exploration of the Teagan sister's lives once they return home from their adventure.
For anyone who hasn't read the book yet, proceed with caution.
Who looks the most like dad?
Hannah and Tess both have their father's black curly hair and heavy eyebrows.
Who looks the most like mom?
As a Changeling, Cecelia can look like whatever she wants but it helps her to have a model. Instead of copying one of her sisters directly she starts taking after their mom. Borrowing facial features from her "twin" Tess but their mother's light brown/dark blonde, more wavy than curly hair.
Who has been in the weirdest situations?
The human world is very weird to Tess, and she responds to it in ways most "normal" people would consider weird. Luckily they homeschool which helps her make that transition with a little less trauma than just throwing her into public school but homeschool itself also adds a layer of weirdness once all the girls do start going to a public high school so. Yeah. All of the above.
Probably Hannah? Tess is probably a very light sleeper and startles easily from her time in the Piper's court so she never really gets over that insomnia. Cecelia just needs less sleep than her human sisters. She's a night owl. Hannah is tired from dealing with them all the time lmao.
Most stable romantic life?
Once they get to be teenagers or adults???? Uh??? Everyone is aroace until proven otherwise.
I think Hannah might hit it off with one of the Twins' younger brothers. They're too old for her but she would get along with someone who doesn't completely understand the complexities of her life that's intertwined with the Seelie Court and her sisters but adores and supports her nonetheless. Someone who's also intensely practical and grounding that she can retreat to when the fantastical world becomes overwhelming. Her romantic life would be pretty stable but it's definitely not a priority for her. I can also just as easily see her being an old spinster with 16 cats and a small zoo in her house.
I imagine Cecelia comes back from their adventure more confident in her identity, her home, and her abilities. She might become a bit of a flirt but she doesn't take dating too seriously.
Tess takes long enough to warm up to platonic and familial love, dating would definitely take a while for her. Anyone who she gets involved with would eventually have to learn about her past and that's a big risk. But I like the idea of someone outside of her family giving her unconditional love and support despite her volatility and fear. Maybe another Taken from a different Unseelie Court, like the White Witch or the Werewolf guy. Someone who went through something similar to her but not with the Piper who eventually found their way to the Seelie Court. They meet when they're older and she can help him heal and recover like her sisters and friends did when she was young and then love grows out of that experience.
Hannah: I think after their ordeal in the Unseelie Court she'd start carrying her falchion everywhere and that's not exactly appropriate IRL, this translates to a general paranoia
Cecelia: skin picking, at first it was for the Piper's plague but it's hard to kick the habit even after she gets treatment. The teenage acne phase is baaadddd and she gets very proficient at glamoring over the scabs.
I mean they're all weird in their own ways. I think Hannah is perpetually an outdoorsy tomboy. Cecelia's "weird phase" was the period of time in which she gave up her art and plotted her escape from home post Piper Trauma, but now that she's returned home with new confidence and reassured in her identity she fully embraces art and music again and cycles through various weird art phases as she explores different mediums and self expression.
Genuinely I think Tess would be emo/goth for a little while. Give the poor girl some twenty one pilots and MCR. ;-;
All three girls are good cooks but they have different approaches.
I think Hannah's cooking is utilitarian and straightforward, she cooks in bulk and the meals are good and simple like soups and chili and gallons of trail mix and she'll eat it for a week or two straight.
Cecelia makes an over ambitious masterpiece, uses every dish and utensil in the kitchen, takes 6 hours to bake it, it's devoured in minutes, and she then taps out for the rest of the week and eats Hannah's leftovers
Tess at first is very food insecure and steals and hoards food because she doesn't understand how a functioning family kitchen works but once their parents teach her that she's not going to go hungry and she can make whatever food she wants she quickly becomes the best happy medium of the two. She makes bread from scratch. She grills with Dad. She tries new things and keeps her own recipe box. Cooking is a reminder that she's somewhere better now.
Tess choosing her name and coming home and Cecelia telling their parents the truth and Tess being welcomed back into the family are absolutely tied.
That time Hannah tried to sacrifice herself to save the others and the Piper puppeteered her body to make her fight Cecelia while she was still completely conscious and Tess still feels guilty for the whole thing even though it led to the best memories.
Cecelia and Hannah both want to explore more of the Seelie Court. Tess wants nothing to do with Faerieland anymore and wants to explore the human world, although she doesn't mind the Seelie Court when they do visit. They showed her an atlas of Earth and she's astounded by how much she hasn't seen and she wants to go everywhere. They split their time traveling between the two.
No shower or same clothes for a month?
What's the situation with the same clothes? Can you wash them at least? That sounds fine...
Who's the oldest? Hannah.
How would they describe each other in three words?
Hannah: Cecelia is my companion, my friend, and my biggest worry. Tess is a gap in my heart that I didn't know I had.
Cecelia: Hannah is my guardian, my hero, and a massive pain. Tess is a reflection, a reminder, a promise.
Tess: Hannah is protective, determined, and brash. Cecelia is my mirror, whether for better or for worse.
How do they feel about their parents?
Hannah: They tried their best but they didn't see the truth or listen to me when it counted. I'm grateful for everything they do. I don't know what they could have done differently.
Cecelia: the Piper spoke lies to me for years, telling me I couldn't trust them, that they would leave me in the woods to die if they found out what I was. Now they know and they still love me and I still feel afraid sometimes. I don't deserve them.
Tess: These people are mine but they don't feel like mine. I don't understand them, or, I'm learning to understand them, but I grieve for the years we should have had together. This is hard.
Who usually has the worst ideas:
Like any true siblings, they have one collective brain cell and only one of them can have it at any given time. (It's usually Hannah, but she has her fair share of dumb moments too).
A GIANT insect is on the wall. Who is taking care of it?
Hannah is scooping that delightful little baby into a glass trap and examining it with a magnifying glass and pulling up iNaturalist and logging it in her life list before gently releasing it outside. Then she's bragging about the new scientific name she just learned.
Thanks for reading this far! Tagging @ashen-crest and @avrablake if you want
