I've seen so many people hate tcoaal solely because it's problematic instead of playing it or even watching a video on it to form their own opinion. I think it's kind of silly how people are so prepared to hate and attack people who like the game instead of thinking for a second and realizing that enjoying a game with disturbing topics ≠ being involved in or getting off to those disturbing topics.

Here's a quick tip to anyone who hates the game because of what people on Twitter said: Learn to form your own opinion and stop caring so much about what's problematic and what's acceptable to your online mutuals.

i dont really see people discuss these intimate gestures that andrew does towards ashley in the other route but i think about it a lot. despite the route indicating that their relationship is crumbling (w the supposed next chapter being called "decay" in this route), andrew pecks her both in real life and in the dream.

i think no matter how much he may have severe frustrations where in this route he's had enough of ashley's shit to the pint where he's finally acting on it, there's something inherently tender about that even if he feels the need to kill her once and for all, he would still love her. heck, he even says, "Then I'll see you in a bit..." which implies he'll follow her wherever she ends up.

I'm mildly frustrated about how much the fnaf fandom dickrides scott, I mean sure he made one of the most popular games in the US but he doesn't know what he's doing. He's changed his story so many times, I don't understand how people can look past that. He changes the canon because people make accurate theories and he doesn't want his games to lose popularity. The reason it's popular is because of how fucked its lore is. I'm probably gonna forget about this in a day or so, but it's frustrating how people are turning a blind eye to blatantly awful storytelling.

Tbh it's interesting that even in universe, the incest seems to be a more touchy subject. Andrew is desperately trying to bury those feelings, and loses his cool when the premonition happens, and tries to pretend he's disturbed. Their mom is visibly disgusted and attempts to separate them and even bluntly says she thinks they're already fucking (despite also suspecting they murdered a classmate but did nothing about that for many years). With everything else, the atrocities are usually comical, casual, or quickly ignored. But even Ashley gets caught thinking about the premonition for a while after, even if she claims the incest will never really happen. It stands out while significantly worse things are happening, and that in and of itself is disturbing. Violence is so normalized that what is technically the best ending (for the sibs spesifically, as in they're probably not going to die soon after), is seen as the most uncomfortable one.

Which is why I'm so interested in seeing it play out. The second chapter ends with two major questions: Where are they going to go now? And what happens to cause such a premonition in the first place?

I love watching several hour long video essays on games I've never played. I'm currently watching a video that's about an hour and a half long on Resident Evil 4. I have 0-3, and I'm planning on playing 4 once I finish them. The person I'm closest with really loves RE4, so I'm hoping me learning more about the game will help me connect with them more.

I also play BTD6, but I'm taking a break from it right now since I don't want to get too tired of the game. I'm hoping to find someone to talk to with interests similar to mine, but I'll live if I don't.
