because I'm unable to be normal about this show and this scene in particular. the one where li xun immediately heads to zhu yun's house when he reads about the scandal video being posted. because he knows her so well. knows that it was her who posted it cause she's been trying to protect him ever since they were in university together.

and then when she tells him that it doesn't matter what the world thinks of her, doesn't care if there are rumours. all she wants is for their work to succeed because she couldn't see li xun lose it all for her sake again. cause she had the guilt from years ago. because at the back of her mind she still thought that the fzj vs li xun fight happened because she asked li xun to join the competition because of her hatered for him. but she couldn't let it all happen again.

and li xun...GOD.. li xun in that moment. Who's so good at keeping his emotions in check, but at that moment loses control cause they overwhelm him so much and especially when he says 'But I don't want' (I don't want you to do that for me.') and the little quiver of his lips (cfy!!!!)

I just love that scene so much.

And then of course the most iconic line. As long as you're by my side I don't suffer a loss.

are we gonna talk about all the parallels of li xun and zhu yun or what now??? four years ago zhu yun who said “you can’t lower your head. i won’t allow it.” about li xun and four years later, he’s battling his old friend turned rival/enemy and she’s finally saying it to him face to face, twice despite all that has happened between them. li xun who brought her a princess dress four years ago before they officially got together, and four years later he brought her another princess dress before they officially get back together again. zhu yun who watched him sleep four years ago, admiring his looks and she is still watching him sleep four years later, a smile on her face four years later. li xun who made the decision for zhu yun four years ago by putting his hand on hers, guiding her to click the mouse and upload her document when she was hesitating and being anxious, and four years later, in front of their colleagues, he still reaches over and casually does the exact same when everyone is rushing her and she’s being anxious as she used to. both li xun and zhu yun catching snow three years ago, but he was saying goodbye at that time and she didn’t know it, but this time, four years later, they’re catching snow again and he’s calling her with the fond nickname he used to call her, “princess,” he calls her, and he means a new beginning this time, and she knows it.
