As a Jewish person I ask- where is religious freedom for non-Christians in this new post-Roe era? Judaism tells us that our bodies are sacred and that life begins at birth. It tells us that a person should choose their own life when a pregnancy is endangering them. Some of us even believe that in life-endangering circumstances, abortion is mandatory in order to save the parent's life. About 83% of American Jews support abortion being legal in all/most cases, more than any other religious group. Judaism tells us that we need to do everything we can in order to preserve our own lives.

Where's OUR religious freedom? Does the US Supreme Court truly value religious freedom, or just Christian freedom?

I am referring to an incident today (7/1) in woodland, CA where a gang of it looks like five or six proud boys attempted to forcibly enter a venue putting on an all ages drag bar. The cops hired to provide security just turned and did a little dipshit trot away.

These people are on the same side. We must have one another's backs. How long before these freaks start bringing ARs? If the cops won't protect children in an elementary school, they're certainly not going to help a pack of queers.

no one wants to hear it but love is earned after the initial infatuation. commitment is something u both mutually agree to and then from there it’s work. it’s not work like it’s a chore it’s jus work like it takes effort. to get good at these things takes practice. it takes practice to learn to communicate better and it takes practice to learn to love each other in the ways u need to be loved.

And it’s also terrifying! Like it’s the kind of vulnerability you can’t do while being all cool and in control of things, you have to like open up the really awkward, ugly inner part of yourself and hope that the other person is still into you. 

Like you have to actually say - with words coming out of your mouth or hands or whatever way you use to directly communicate in person - what you would like from the other person! You have to say stuff like “hey the thing you did made me feel some ways and we have to address this like adults” and hope that the other person says “I see, yes I also think we should address this like adults” (instead of “no I didn’t” or “you’re overreacting” or other shut-down-ing shit that ruins lives).

today another trans person told me that i shouldn’t be afraid of losing my job if i come out as trans bc ‘people don’t take transmascs seriously’. granted they admitted that they don’t know much about trans masc experiences, and i believe they really did want to listen, but it just blows my fucking mind how deep the narrative runs in the queer community that trans men and mascs have it so easy. that the worst we ever experience is misgendering or infantilization. the severity of transphobia doesn’t exist on a scale of 1 to 10 with trans men at one end and trans women at the other. please i am begging you if you’re not a trans man or trans masc to just listen to us because i am so fucking tired
