Sometimes lunch is eaten off the bumper of a food truck parked behind where you work because it's quiet. The comforting rumble of the air conditioning unit from the building on the other side of the block and the chirping if a baby bird nested somewhere atop the building offer a serene background noise. It's days like these when it's important to sit and find peace among the humdrum and busy race of life. Sometimes you find it wedged between a wall and a food truck, where you still catch that soft breeze that brushes along your skin and reminds you that you're still human and still there. So, some of y'all might be thinking, "Where's that nutty Lyle and where are all of their posts???? SHOW ME FOOD!" Well, that's coming... Slowly but surely. I took a break from Alaska this year to work on my physical health and my mental wellbeing. I'll miss Great Alaska, but now I get to get a little closer in with Portland and see all of its beauty. I was given the chance to work with @morganirene at Heartbreaker! She makes some of the most SCRUMPTIOUS dogs this side of the Mississippi delta, jsyk.
