Sunlight

I write poems, stories really anything. This is my void and I shall scream.

Me and you:

When I tell you I love you like the sun, When I tell you I love you like the moon,

When I tell you I love you like the stars.

I never have meant just in the way that you are beautiful. Because you are beautiful.

But when I tell you I love you like the stars,

I mean I love you in the way humans have looked towards them for guidance, for wishes, for stories.

I love you in the way humans will always reach and look and explore the stars above.

I love you in the way humans yearn to see in all their beauty. I love you in the way humans claw their way from the surface to see them just that little bit closer.

And when I say I love you like the sun. I don't just mean the light you provide, though it is beautiful.

I mean it in the way you help the flowers bloom,

I mean it in the way the way when I walk out from the shade and feel the warmth.

I love you In the way humans looks up to the sun despite the pain.

I love you the way humans see the sun as something wonderfully amazing.

I see you in the way humans will always stand in the light even if it hurts,

even if it burns and bites them. I love you in the stubborn way that humans will always love the sun.

So when I say I love you like the moon,

I'm sure you'll know then tune.

Because I love you and your not so mysterious dark side,

I love you in the way the moon tugs at the ocean, the waves.

I love you like the moon protects the earth will all her might.

I love you like the moon orbits the earth because the earth,

The humans, love the moon so much without it we'd be lost.

I love you like humans looks up at the moon each night watching as it moves, as it changed.

I love you like how humans uses their tools to take beautiful pictures of the moon and press their faces up against windows to see it better.

I love you like humans see the moon as protection and beauty, like the moon is someone not something.

So when I say I love you Like I love humans, I'm sure you'll understand. This poem was never about the sun, the moon or the stars it was us. It will always be us.

A pocket of stars

Folded carefully in verse

Waiting to be read

And I was made to be an artist.

I may not be good, I was not born with talent.

But I was born to paint and create.

And I was born to be a writer.

For the words to pour from my mouth and for them to appear in my mind

As if they had been waiting for me to arrive.

And I was born for music.

To play and dance and sing until my throat is raw and dry.

And I was made for you.

I was made to put my head in between your shoulder blades.

To nudge at you and chuckle at what you say.

To get angry at you and love you anyway.

I was made for you like I was made for poetry.

I love things that were made for eachother, mostly people.

The whole idea makes me so happy and the feeling you get is something I can't imagine being able to recreate.

I swear the first time I touched my paintbrush or got my drawing pad it was this feeling.

I don't have drive to make to get better other than my soul demands it of me.

I watch it.

My eyes fascinated with what could be.

It glows and glows and it is mine.

It is all mine.

And no one can takw it from me because those the tv is glowing the tv is me.

I am selfish.

It is mine, all mine.

Every drop of light.

Each glitch and flaw,

It is mine.

It is my TV that glows.

My TV that lights up the room.

Not yours.

Not. Yours.

So why.

Why do you decide my TV deserves to be smashed?

Why do you get to decide that my life is not worth living?

That my TV ruins your view.

Well it lights up mine.

My view.

My world.

It's my TV thats glowing blue.

My world thats been changed and tampered with and yet I'd never trade this gift.

It's mine.

You can't take it from me because it is me.

The only way would be to rip my soul from my body piece by piece.

To take out my heart and hold it captive.

To take the air from my lungs and never give it back.

The only way the TV will change is when it turns off for good.

Anyway, Eva Stratt, you did everything correctly, you made the wrong choice, humanity is alive because of your determination, the most woman ever. They coul never make me pin your morals down as 'good' or 'bad'.
