Be More Chill Zombie Apocalypse Headcanons
Based on @crazygalcomics AU
-the apocalypse started just at the beginning of Junior year, Michael and Jeremy having to go alone after being separated from their families
-it was a few weeks after the dead started walking when Jeremy was turned
-they we’re sneaking around an abandoned grocery store looking for food when Jeremy was bitten
-Michael couldn’t bring himself to shoot Jeremy and was willing to let himself be bitten by his best friend
-he was surprised when he wasn’t bitten but instead felt something bumping against him
-Jeremy is a zombie but he doesn’t want to eat people. At least mostly. He’s somehow more sentient than most of the walking dead.
-but Michael can never be too safe, tying Jeremy’s hands together and wrapping an old t-shirt around Jeremy’s mouth so he doesn’t try to scratch or bite Michael
-but as the days go on Jeremy seems to get slower from the lack of food, human snacks and dead flesh not doing anything to help
-they stumble across a dying survivor who has yet to turn and Michael isn’t able to stop Jeremy from attacking and devouring the survivor’s flesh
-Jeremy needs living flesh to retain the humanity he has left, a person usually able to keep him satisfied for a week or two
-the further in to the apocalypse they get the harder it is to find survivors
-Jeremy has a gaping scar on the side of his face from where he was bitten by a zombie
-they kind of start saying, Jeremy showing his affection through open air hugs and bumps on the nose instead of kisses
-Michael’s diet has been mostly granola bars and Twinkies despite Jeremy’s attempts to try and get him to pick up healthier food
-Jeremy has a rope around his neck that Michael uses as a leash and Jeremy tries tugging him over to healthier food like protein bars
-Jeremy can’t talk, he can just mumble out half formed sounds and words
-Jeremy’s dead body covers Michael’s scent allowing him to walk around other zombies with little problem
-Michael’s main weapon is a bat with nails in it, it used to be Jeremy’s main weapon but now he doesn’t exactly have the movement skills needed for a weapon
-Jeremy’s going to bed to feed soon when they meet a group of survivors that they recognize from school
-Jeremy’s face gains some color and despite his sort of boyfriend being there he can’t stop himself from calling out to one of the girls
