The Physique & Fantasy Tarot Deck
by Oscar Zamora Graves, (me!)
This queer collage art deck consists of 81 original cards, including 4 variations of "The Lovers" card. The models all come from vintage bodybuilding magazines like Physique Pictorial, The Young Physique, and Muscleboy. The four minor arcana queens, along with The Empress and The High Priestess, are real drag queens taken from 1960s drag magazines. You can see the whole deck, uncensored by buying it on my website, along with prints, postcards, and merch.

I am finally done with editing my tarot cards and I'm currently writing the guidebook and I HATE IT! I hate writing, I went to art school! don't make me write!!
update, I’m almost done this the first draft of the guidebook. My cards are different enough from the Rider Waite that I do need to write my own guide. It’s interesting how my personal worldview is so influential in my personal interpretation of each card.
“Friends hold a mirror up to each other; through that mirror they can see each other in ways that would not otherwise be accessible to them, and it is this mirroring that helps them improve themselves as persons.”

it's amazing how ordinary objects can become so significant to only the owner
when my aunt's best friend passed away, my younger brother was four years old. at his funeral, my brother went up to her and gave her a nickel. he told her very solemnly that it would make her feel better. she smiled for the first time in days, and tucked it in her wallet.
when my brother was 22, his best friend passed away unexpectedly. my aunt drove three hours to be there for him at the funeral. she went up to my brother, gave him a big hug, and then gave him a nickel. it was the same nickel; she had kept it in her wallet for 18 years, and now it's on a necklace that he never takes off.
what i'm trying to say is that the love you put into the world will always find its way back to you.
