♡ I wanted to redesign the Mane 6, I really wanna get back into MLP. I wanted to keep their designs close to the shows, but with a lil flare! I'll explain my reasons on why I changed some things below! ♡
Twilight Sparkle: I really wanted to lean into the Twilight sky colors, a mixture of darker purple tones and orange tones. I also wanted to add glasses and a book satchel because you know. Bookworm.
Rainbow Dash: I already loved her colors a lot, so I didn't change too much. I love the idea of their tails being more feathery and their limbs slimmer. The idea is like, less body weight and small species to be able to walk on clouds and all that. I liked the idea of her having flying goggles since she’s always going fast, her eyes gotta hurt after those long flights. The idea of scars also seemed fitting, maybe she nicked herself when doing risky stunts.
Applejack: Her design is my least favorite, mostly the hair. Seeing her, I think she’d wear more of a short cut, out of her way while she’s working at her farm. I also added strings to her hat so it actually stays on her head, matched with a bandana to wipe her hooves or something. (also of course scars, hard work mishaps.)
Fluttershy: So, I went a lil ham with her redesign- I really loved the “Bats!’ episode so much and her design in that ep. I love the idea of her being turned back to her former self, but still has some form of her bat-like traits. I wanted to add more forestry and recluse themes with her, truly one with nature with leaves and wild flowers in her hair.
Pinkie Pie: This one, took me a bit because I had so many ideas to have fun with her. I had the idea of when the sonic rain-boom Rainbow Dash did in that one episode, gave her that bright pink hair you know? But, naturally her hair is more muted to fit with her life she had at the rock farm with her family. She wears some friendship bracelets with the canon colors of her friends, with some Band-Aids for some clumsy episodes.
Rarity: I always loved her large curl of a mane, so I wanted to keep it. But, I pulled her hair into a fashionable work bun! I remember when she works she wears these red glasses, I think they fit really well with her design that I wanted to have her on them always! (also kind of funny fact; maybe her eyesight is not good because of eye strain from sewing for long hours.) Diamonds are a mare's best friend. UwU
