Was working on a commission and girl gave me a bald base to draw over, but after I completed the first sketch she asked me to remove the skewer and replace it with chicken legs. I did so, then she asked me to make it into a pastry with their oc digging into it with a spoon. I said she'll have to pay me extra for it, since the whole pose will have to be changed (I charge less if the client provides a base as reference) she said I can't change my prices mid way. So I told her I won't be continuing with the commission, and returned her earlier payment as well.

I allow three revisions on the sketch and two on the coloring. Anything more and I charge extra. Plus, my prices are pretty cheap, less than one euro. I can't believe people still act this way, ruined my mood.

"i wish i had cancer/a wheelchair/severe disability so i would be taken seriously." so you've automatically assumed that these people are taken seriously or treated well (which they aren't) without even thinking about it huh. the assumed premise undermines your very point. if you took these people seriously then you wouldn't idly wish to have their struggles

i had an ex who, knowing all of my previous trauma, had told me to my face that she wished she was physically abused like i was so she would be taken seriously.

i had an old friend who was jealous of my cane because he thought that it was "fashionable" and I was "lucky to have the attention." this is the same friend who infantalized me and wouldnt let me do things, while taking my cane from me.

i had people tell me they wished they had my hyper flexibility, the one from my hEDS, because it was cool that I could bend weird. or that it would help for their athletics. the reason I use a cane, people said it would help them with cheerleading.

I've been told by people they wished they had my DID, my autism, my ADHD, so they could be as creative/artistic/"special" like me.

this behavior is disgusting. it treats our disabilities as a weird character perk, not something that makes our lives actively 10x hard then it currently is. it's DISGUSTING. i mean that with my whole fucking body, every atom in my being.

take disabled people's struggles seriously. disability isn't a cute personality trait or attention seeking behavior.
