Just outta curiosity because there's been a few people I've spoken with who haven't, and even in-universe, Naveen and Grisham have a go at him for leaving us to handle Ange, and the creation of the Ultimate Weapon, Lysandre's descent into madness, and how it tied back to him that their lives were ruined respectively.

Personally, I think AZ's had enough punishment, he didn't even get a single day to be fully free of his sins before passing away, he only had a brief moment to finally have that weight off his back. (Plus, it's another reason I wish we had a Kalos game set during the war, I think it would have made the impact of his actions hit harder. 3000yrs just gives me too much distance from it.)

Imagine giving Az a nice and thorough back massage. He would be groaning as ancient muscles are given sweet relief. The only problem is that since the first massage, az wants more since he feels way better after.

Oh this b*tch would start harassing you in his own way. Normally, AZ is quite a gentle and safe person; he respects your space and boundaries, but there are times where he really wants something and he just can’t seem to stop that bratty prince in his brain from rearing his head and making him want more.

You’d give him a massage after a nice bath with some chamomile oils and he would just melt, half asleep and probably drooling a little as you absolutely destroy his poor back, like this is some kind of f*cking MMA cage match. I’m talking elbows, knees, even heels in that back to push even a nanometer into that knotted lattice that is the back muscles on this sentient knot of a man. Seriously, he needed this massage yesterday.

The problem is that he hasn’t felt that kind of relaxation or had that much norepinephrine released into his system in a LONG time (we are ignoring when Floette came back) and his brain is craving more. So suddenly, this normally very respectful and patient man is all in your space and talking his ass off. He’s quietly begging you to do it again and even trying to offer to make things in exchange, which is entirely unlike him.

Really, he’s just desperate for that relief again and the rare good chemical release it offers. Also..he would like to be petted more. He’s realized how touch-starved he is, and if he trusts you to massage his back he would trust you to cuddle him, regardless of your relationship to him (friend, family, partner).

idk much about what asks you are and aren't fine with (in regards to AZ + Eternal Flower Floette) but playing the game made me feel robbed of an experience. I know AZ's lifespan was just extended to an unnatural length, but why does his Floette get to be immortal and he doesn't? Is it because she's super tiny? I just wish they kept him around just a little longer because I would have loved him in the DLC. Imagine how he'd interact with Ansha jgfkghdfkjghdfkjghdfkjgh tldr: AZ is great and his presence makes anything better.

You’re all good Anon but I 100% agree, AZ was done dirty. I understand he couldn’t do much throughout the game bc of his age and declining health but he was technically still an important character. I mean, without him, XY and Z-A would have never happened.

As for the lifespan, I think Floette is either truly immortal or has a much longer lifespan because she was the one receiving the life energy from the Ultimate Weapon, while AZ received some of its radiation. Not sure myself, it’s never explained properly and it’s one of my biggest gripes with his story as a whole.

I don’t know if it’s really a headcanon, alternate universe situation, whatever, but I like to think that after the Mega Darkrai incident, AZ can visit Lumiose from Hyperspace from time to time, just not in his physical body of course. Perhaps the subconscious manifestation we see of him in Hyperspace transcends through space, and can manifest in the real world for a short period of time. Just so he gets to see Team MZ and Ansha.

On one hand I was really upset about his death, and on the other hand I knew that was the only release to his eternal prison. I just think it could have been executed better? Honestly I kinda wish AZ lived after the main story and if he really had to die, I’d rather it be at the end of the DLC or something so we could at least keep him around if we wanted to. But that’s when second save files come in handy >:)
