okay. don’t take this the wrong way i LOVE the valkyries and their friendship so so much. but i DO find it weird that they refer to each other as sister, and that doing so was like the climax of their emotional development as friends. like. nesta already has sisters. sisters she abused. sisters who deserve a resolution in their tense, often cruel shared history. and for all three of them, the valkyrie dynamic offered them a second chance at a family and i LOVE that. but nesta still HAS a family. one who loves her and roots for her and wants to make things work. idk it just … it feels weird to me.

I like her getting a “family” it kept her from verbally lashing out at Feyre, who continuously did nothing to deserve it. The only thing that irritated me is the book and stans make it seem like gwyn and Emerie were doing something extraordinary that her sisters weren’t doing. I understand that she has a bad relationship with them, but that’s not because THEY weren’t trying. Feyre didn’t ask to be called names, berated, slut-shamed and threatened by nesta. So when the books says “nesta is more at ease with gwyn” I’m sure she is, she’s not verbally and emotionally abusing her. The inner circle had/have to protect Feyre. So naturally they wouldn’t like her, that’s not the same with her new sisters. And even though everything nesta did to Feyre, she still open her arms and didn’t want anything more than an explanation.

Nesta was never going to be comfortable around people she lashes out at, but even that’s not even the issue, the inner circle weren’t crying or running off. It’s the fact that it made it seem like nesta said/did nothing to make the inner circle not like or trust her, they were sitting right there when she told Feyre she would slit her throat. It’s like Feyre should’ve still been her punching bag and the family sticking up for her should’ve said nothing

i agree because of how precious little he laughs or very small number of people get to hear him laugh. the most powerful highlord who carries the weight of everyone's woes, the world's battles and the heartbreak of his trauma...to behold the sight of such a man pausing to laugh at something would set my heart to ease. it would make me realise no matter how hard life gets there are always moments to rejoice in.

i would sell my soul to the devil to hear his laugh at least once and find peace in knowing that happiness can be found even in the tiny fractions in between struggles and worries.

I know people didn’t like the “why can’t you do it?” Comment nesta made because she didn’t want herself or Elain getting in danger but rather Feyre do but I smiled. It wasn’t a nice comment but we already knew nesta would rather Feyre get hurt/die than Elain. So I wasn’t shocked but I loved the comment, oddly.

It tells you so much about Feyre. She could’ve done it, there’s nothing she can’t or won’t do. And I think that’s why SJM just lazily made her pregnant. Because there would be no other way nesta would go on those missions if Feyre could. Because Feyre is the warrior, she would go out and fight.

If I was Feyre I would be flattered, honestly. Annoyed, maybe, because I’m expected to do everything. But having a reputation of going and getting shit done is way better than being useless.
