you know, I've been thinking, after this trail of carnage, I might just hang my sword up. just gotta slay these last few villains and I'll have evil solved, and there will be a place for me in this peaceful world I've created. with the sword.
Anyone else only in their 20s but feel like they are running out of time to get their life together??
Donât. I felt this way too, in my twenties, but you know what? I began transitioning at 30. I went back to grad school at 32. Iâm living my best life, and while Iâm a little behind the curve compared to some of my classmates on some things, Iâm also so far ahead of them on others. You need follow nobodyâs schedule but your own. Life is hard and the world isnât doing any of us favors. Be kind to yourself, and remember that you still have plenty of time. The only difference between starting now and 5 or 10 years earlier is now you have more experience.
I needed to hear this so badly
what companies who sell you anti aging stuff don't want you to know is that if you're chill about aging, your perception of attractiveness changes as you get older. there is no "wall" where you suddenly become ugly and unfuckable because in my experience what actually happens is you get into your thirties and suddenly realize that people in their thirties are hot as fuck and the "flaws" that the beauty industry wants you to panic about are a feature not a bug, and based on the std statistics in nursing homes I don't really expect that trajectory to change.

I see a lot of posts talking about how youâre not behind in life. And itâs true and a really great message. Iâm not disagreeing.
I just want to take a moment to talk to those that feel behind because theyâve lost so many years to trauma, mental illness or any number of circumstances. Itâs okay to grieve for the time youâve lost.
Itâs really valid that you feel it isnât fair that you dealt with the obstacles you did. Because it isnât fair. And while itâs important to not get hung up on that, itâs okay to feel it and grieve what you lost.
Took me until about halfway through college before I realized âstudyâ means âplay with the material in a variety of ways until you understand itâ and not just âread the assigned chapters and do the homeworkâ and I think that probably should have been discussed at some point prior to that.

Maybe itâs time to accept that you did what you had to do to survive and forgive yourself for it.
reminder to self: one day it wonât bother you every night. one day it wonât even pass through your mind, not once.
hopefully, soon

even the people who love you most canât read your mind. communicate your needs. express yourself. let them know how they can help.
