All the same, Astrid couldn’t help the grin on her face. It’d been such a long time since she spoke with Gerard, and seeing him here made her giddy. Eyes traveled down to the shredded cloth as well, still feeling a bit of guilt. “If you say so,” she replied, gaze rising to meet his again.

“I’d never give up this dream of mine.” Not for anything. Even if people regarded it as silly or weird, she wasn’t going to ever give it up. “I’ve been doing this for around 4 years. I started putting up those little fliers, and I was surprised with how many people wanted a safe walk to their destination. I was knighted at the Palace 2 years ago. It’s all been a whirlwind since then.” Oh, where did the time go. “What have you been up to since I saw you last? Did you go on any cool adventures?”

Four years ago? Then she started in her teens like he did. He looked at her and nodded as she told him how she was surprised how many people sought out her services. As he prepared to comment on that, he stopped the moment she mentioned she was knighted two years ago. He was impressed and proud of her, though also shocked at how far she progressed while no where near her prime yet.

“Well it’s clear you didn’t waste time since we’ve last seen each other!” He said a approving tone as he looked at her. “The bodyguard profession actually is more in demand then one would think. Since most assume people are trainer and have strong pokemon to protect them. However, as we both know, that isn’t case for many people, even if they have pokemon.” He looked over at a cafe across the street from the old store they used to visit as kids. Motioning for her to follow him. 

“I have quite a few tales to tell but if you still wish to make it up to me about my hood, asking you to join me for lunch over at this cafe would be fine, right?” He asked in a playful tone. “Since plenty would kill for the chance to have lunch with someone strong and attractive like you.”

Her expression changed from one of confidence to one of shock upon seeing the man’s face. Even after all these years, there was no mistaking it. Her old friend from her childhood… and she just sliced his hoodie to ribbons.

“G-Gerard–!” Plus, he was the only one besides her parents to call her by her actual name. “Ah– I’m so sorry…” Her eyes fell to the remains of the cut up hoodie on the ground. His words made her feel accomplished all the same, but still… “Mm, I’ve been practicing nearly everyday since I got a hold of a real sword.” There was still a lot of room for improvement. “I can buy you a new hoodie if you want–” Yep, still embarrassed.

She went from confident badass swordswoman to flustered apologetic girl within the span of a moment. Honestly he found the attitude shift impressive as well, but choose to keep his observation to himself this time. Looking down toward the shredded hoodie pieces of fabric on the ground, he looked back to her and shook his head. “I can afford to get a new one, no need to burden yourself with such a small matter.” It appeared to him that despite the training, her heart was still as soft as he recalled years ago.

“Makes me happy to see you didn’t give up on your dream  Amé.” He said as he picked up the rags that used to be his hoodie. “So when did you become a bodyguard? I took up the job six or seven years ago myself.”

PSA; let’s make some things clear. first and foremost, the fact that a character is extremely strong or cannot be killed does not make them ‘over-powered’ or a ‘mary-sue’. well rounded characters come in all shapes and sizes. and just because a character has very few physical weaknesses does not mean that they are badly made, badly characterized, or badly written. 

SECOND: dear writers of characters who are incredibly powerful, dangerous, cruel, or invulnerable - you are not required to weaken, make nice, portray as less dangerous, or otherwise change your character to make them more approachable.

the concept of godmodding can be convoluted,  seeing as in some places it’s used to refer to simply dictating another’s actions, and in others it is used to refer to when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them. for the record, guys? this doesn’t mean that you need to make your character into something they are not. no matter if your character is an oc or if they are a canon. if your character is powerful and others choose to interact with them with that in full knowledge, you should not have to downplay your character’s strength or power.

if you choose to roleplay with me; know that should your character provoke mine, i will not hold my muse back. BUT i will always make sure to ask if it is okay before killing your character.

Alright followers of mine who are underage, it’s time me and you have a little chat. Listen, I’m not going to unfollow you if you are underage and simply want to rp and have fun. That is fine, but you need to know something serious. You need to understand why I will unfollow you if you are smutting while underage.

It’s illegal.

There is nothing right about it. This is another form of sexual activity. Even if this is online, you are not face to face, you are not fully aware of who it is behind the other computer, it is still WRONG.

You are performing sexual acts with ADULTS. Just as having sex with an adult while underage is illegal, so is this.

Now you may live in another state, your age of consent may be under 18, that does not matter. You have no idea where the other person may live. For all you know, they live in an area where the age of consent is 18. 

DESPITE THIS FACT, do not do it.

You will not be labeled as weird or ‘not good enough’ simply because you do not smut. Do not fall into the idea that you have to impress your fellow roleplayers and followers by writing risqué content. 

If you are caught doing this, you would be putting your friend and fellow rp partner in LEGAL TROUBLE. The could have jailtime for this. They could be labeled a sex offender for sexual activities with a MINOR.

Do not lie about your age on the internet, not only is that against the law in itself, but you are endangering the livelihood of others. You could ruin their entire lives for a simple thread of content that you can easily wait to write when you are OF AGE.

Please. Do not put people you know and care for in danger. Do not ruin their lives for content. Do not lie about your age and ruin your own life.

TO MY 18+ FOLLOWERS & EVEN MINORS

BE SAFE WHEN DECIDING WHO YOU ARE GOING TO WRITE SMUT WITH.

Do not do it simply because you can! Keep yourself SAFE. There is nothing wrong with making sure to ask someone their age. You are not an elitist or a shitty person for not writing  smut with minors. There is no shame in keeping yourself safe.

If a minor asks you to write smut with them, remind them that this is illegal. People dislike call-out posts. But we MUST keep this community safe. We come here to escape reality, but that does not mean we are exempt from the laws we must abide by. 

Be respectful to your fellow roleplayers. Be honest about your age. Be honest with your roleplay partners and keep a level of transparency. You do not need to know where they live, who they are personally, or what they do outside of Tumblr. But what happens on YOUR blog and in YOUR life is YOUR responsibility. BE SAFE FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS.

Astrid had gotten a new client today for her little program. Normally, her clients were children or elderly folk, but this one was supposedly young; around her age. She didn’t think much of it; her service was free after all, and nobody was excluded from it. 

The weather in Camphrier was pleasant as per usual. A sunny sky, a slight breeze, moderate temperature… Astrid wasn’t cooking in her armor like usual. She approached one of the small shops in the town. Her preferred place to get snacks at; the owners knew her by name. Upon seeing the hooded figure, she stopped, hand resting on the pommel of her sword.

“You’re the one I was speaking to earlier, correct?” He had to be. There wasn’t many others out right now. “Oh? I accept your challenge.” The quick strike upon the cloak came from the same movement of her unsheathing her blade. If he blinked, he would’ve missed it. The hood fell to pieces, leaving him unharmed.

He hadn’t expected that speed from her. He saw that she had some muscle on her going by her biceps but he assume she wouldn’t be the quick draw type of swords-woman. Speaking of swords, she drew and sheathed it so fast that to the untrained eye it would look instantaneous. He also caught the precision of her move, since he could feel the gentle breeze blowing against his hair now. He wondered if he had more distance would she still have had that impressive speed. Though before he got lost in though, he knew he had to address her, since she past the test in such a style it appeared effortless.

“Did you just do a Iadio technique using-” he looked at her sheathed sword, “-a sword that isn’t a katana?” Shock was clear to heard in his as he looked at his old classmate with wide eyes. “Amélie, you certainly come a long way from using old brooms as swords to practice with in school.”

Reunion (Gerard and Astrid)

Camphrier Town, Kalos always seemed to have nice weather all year-round, the warm sun and soft cool breeze reminding Gerard of his youth. He found himself waiting outside of a mom and pop corner store, talking casually sips from a bottle of soda pop he bought from them as he waited for his possibly bodyguard to meet him. Going from the picture, she certainly had grown up from the little red head girl that wanted to be a knight. A small smile appeared on his lips, his hood covering his face as his eras caught the sound of -clanking? 

He looked around and caught the sight of a young red headed woman heading toward hims wearing armor similar to those you would see a knight wear in books or in movies. It appeared that she didn’t wear that outfit for show. He chuckled briefly, amused by how it appeared his old classmate managed to avoid becoming boring the most. She also had points for not giving up on her dream, no matter how uncommon it was. 

“Well you most certainly look the part, but do you mind demonstrating your skills as well?” He asked trying to hid the excitement in his voice. “If you can remove my hood and reveal my face, I’ll be convinced of your skills.”
